As an area with two industrial parks, Ham Kiem 1 and Ham Kiem 2, Ham Kiem commune currently has a large concentration of workers and foreign-invested enterprises (FDI).
Ham Kiem Commune Trade Union is managing 10 grassroots trade unions with nearly 4,850 union members, out of a total of more than 5,200 workers.

In recent times, Ham Kiem Commune Trade Union has been assessed as dynamic in coordinating with grassroots trade unions to care for the lives of workers and laborers and build harmonious labor relations.
This is one of the outstanding results stated at the 1st Ham Kiem Commune Trade Union Congress, term 2025 - 2030 (taking place on October 26).
Many grassroots trade unions of FDI enterprises here not only comply with labor laws but also care about the lives of workers.
In particular, through practical activities such as: Organizing union meals; giving birthday gifts to union members; taking outstanding union members on a trip...

Mr. Tran Duy Thanh - Chairman of Ham Kiem Commune Trade Union - said that the trade union always closely follows businesses, coordinates to promptly resolve issues arising at the grassroots level, limits illegal work stoppages, and contributes to stabilizing production.
For example, recently at a company in the border area, where a trade union has not been established but located in Ham Kiem 1 Industrial Park, there was a situation of unpaid wages. There were more than 120 workers, causing a large gathering of workers.
Grasping the situation, Mr. Tran Duy Thanh directly came to work with the enterprise. Thanks to timely intervention, the problem was resolved, and workers were paid their full salaries.

Speaking at the 1st Ham Kiem Commune Trade Union Congress, term 2025 - 2030, Mr. Ho Cong Duong - Permanent Vice President of Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation - emphasized: Ham Kiem Commune is an area with two industrial parks with a large concentration of workers and laborers.
This is a favorable condition for trade unions to promote their role as representatives, caregivers, and protectors of the legitimate rights and interests of workers.
Mr. Duong also suggested some more solutions for the commune trade union to better fulfill its role in caring for workers.
The Congress approved many key targets and tasks and breakthroughs in the new term, aiming to more practically care for union members, protect the rights of workers; at the same time, build a stable and cohesive working environment between workers and businesses.
At the congress, Mr. Tran Duy Thanh was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the Ham Kiem Commune Trade Union.
