On January 14, Ms. Lieng Hot Hong Tham - Chairwoman of the Trade Union of Cam Ly ward - Da Lat, Lam Dong province said that the ward Trade Union has just been decided to be established by the Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation.
To soon put it into stable operation, the unit has organized the announcement of decisions of the Provincial Labor Federation on the organizational structure including: Decision to establish the Trade Union of Cam Ly Ward - Da Lat; decision to appoint the Executive Committee of the Ward Trade Union temporarily and decision to appoint the position of Chairman of the Ward Trade Union.
This is an important basis for the ward trade union to deploy activities, and at the same time prepare the conditions for organizing the 1st Trade Union Congress of Cam Ly ward - Da Lat according to the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union.
According to Ms. Tham, the Trade Union of Cam Ly ward is currently assigned to manage 24 grassroots trade unions with more than 2,200 union members and workers working at agencies, units, and businesses in the area.
The Executive Committee of the Ward Trade Union has developed and implemented a work program, key movements, and activities in 2026 suitable to the actual situation of the locality.
The consistent task is identified as representing and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests, while taking care of the material and spiritual life of union members and workers.
In which, the trade union proactively proposes and coordinates with the government and employers to organize activities to care for the 2026 Binh Ngo Lunar New Year in a practical and effective direction, prioritizing support for union members and workers in difficult circumstances, with the goal of "not leaving anyone behind".
In parallel with that, the work of inspecting and supervising the implementation of regimes and policies and ensuring occupational safety and health is focused on implementation.
Through these activities, the trade union promotes propaganda, develops union members, establishes grassroots trade unions and introduces outstanding union members to the Party for consideration, fostering, and admission.
In particular, the unit focuses on propagating and disseminating important documents and directives of the Party and State on election work; mobilizing union members and workers to actively participate in the election of National Assembly deputies of the XVI term and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026–2031 term.
