According to the plan, the 1st Lao Cai Provincial Trade Union Congress will be held on December 17 and 18, 2025 at the Lao Cai Provincial Military Command Hall, with the participation of 150 official delegates.
The Congress is convene according to Plan No. 22/KH-TLD dated August 29, 2025 of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and Plan No. 42/KH-LDLD dated October 11, 2025 of the Lao Cai Provincial Labor Federation.
To organize the Congress, the Standing Committee of Lao Cai Provincial Labor Federation established 14 delegations. The Head of the Delegation is responsible for notifying, urging and managing the number of delegates of his/her unit throughout the Congress.
The Congress focused on summarizing and evaluating the results of implementing the Resolution of the Trade Union Congresses at all levels for the 2023-2028 term; at the same time, determining the direction, goals, tasks and key solutions for the 2025-2030 term.
Delegates also participated in the discussion and contributed opinions to the draft documents of the 14th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, term 20262031, along with the draft amendments and supplements to the Charter of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
In addition, the Congress will listen to a report synthesizing the opinions and recommendations of union members and workers sent to the Party, the State and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, thereby reflecting the thoughts and legitimate aspirations of workers in the province.
Attending the 1st Lao Cai Provincial Trade Union Congress, Bao Thang Commune Trade Union has representatives from many grassroots trade unions. Through this congress, the commune union strives to care for and protect the legitimate rights and interests of workers and laborers in the coming term.
On December 17, speaking with Lao Dong, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh - Chairman of Bao Thang Commune Trade Union said: "Today, 9 members of our delegation have arrived at the provincial center to attend the first Lao Cai Provincial Trade Union Congress.
This is an opportunity to summarize and evaluate the work of caring for workers throughout the past term. Through this congress, representatives of grassroots trade unions will present contributions so that workers and union members are increasingly cared for and cared for."
