On February 4, at Viet - Trung Mineral and Metallurgy Co., Ltd., the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor in coordination with the Lao Cai Provincial Labor Federation organized a program to visit and give gifts to union members and workers in difficult circumstances working in the area.
The working delegation was headed by Ms. Do Hong Van - Member of the Presidium, Deputy Head of the Labor Relations Department of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

On the Lao Cai side were Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Nhiem - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Executive Committee, Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation; along with representatives of leaders of the Provincial Labor Federation, business leaders and 100 union members and workers in difficult circumstances working at the company.
At the program, leaders of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and Lao Cai Provincial Labor Federation directly presented 100 gifts to union members and workers. Each gift included 1 million VND in cash and a gift worth 300,000 VND, with a total support budget of 130 million VND.
This is a practical activity, showing the timely concern of the Trade Union organization for union members and workers, especially at the beginning of the new year.

Speaking at the program, Ms. Do Hong Van affirmed that caring for the material and spiritual life of union members and workers is always a central and consistent task of the Trade Union organization.
Ms. Do Hong Van shared the difficulties and hardships of workers, especially those in particularly difficult circumstances; and at the same time wished that the gifts, although not large in material terms, would be a source of spiritual encouragement, helping workers gain more faith, feel secure in production, and be attached to the business for a long time.
Ms. Van also requested trade union levels in the province to continue to promote the role of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers; strengthen coordination with businesses in improving working conditions, increasing income, and building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations.

On behalf of the Lao Cai Labor Federation, Chairman of the Lao Cai Provincial Labor Federation Nguyen Thi Bich Nhiem respectfully thanked the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor for its concern for union members and workers in the area; and affirmed that the Provincial Labor Federation will continue to direct trade union levels to promote practical care activities, strongly focusing on grassroots levels, especially for workers in difficult circumstances.
The visit and gift-giving program took place in a warm and meaningful atmosphere, clearly showing the tradition of mutual affection and the accompanying role of the Trade Union organization, thereby contributing to consolidating the trust of workers in the Party, State and Vietnam Trade Union organization.
