On August 4, the Nghe An Employment Service Center said that in the first 6 months of 2026, the unit received 7,904 applications for unemployment benefits, down 17.3% compared to the same period in 2025.
According to a report by the Nghe An Employment Service Center, the whole province currently has 13,374 businesses, agencies, and organizations participating in unemployment insurance with 333,179 workers. Among the dossiers received, 2,861 dossiers were submitted through the National Public Service Portal, accounting for 36.2%.
The Center has advised the Department of Home Affairs of Nghe An to issue 7,272 decisions to enjoy unemployment benefits, an increase of 3.66% compared to the same period last year, with a total budget of nearly VND 179.8 billion, an increase of 12.34%.
Among those eligible for unemployment benefits, female workers accounted for 61.73%. The group of female workers aged 31 to 40 had the largest number, with 1,909 people.
Along with resolving unemployment benefits, the Nghe An Employment Service Center has consulted 6,523 turns of workers, introduced jobs to 415 people. At the same time, 31 people were supported with vocational training with a total budget of 139.5 million VND.
From April 2026, the Nghe An Employment Service Center implemented 6 administrative procedures on the information system for resolving administrative procedures of the Ministry of Home Affairs and the unemployment insurance toolkit. By the time of reporting, the system had received 6,317 dossiers transferred from the National Public Service Portal, including 3,191 dossiers requesting unemployment benefits.
However, the online dossier processing process still faces some difficulties due to slow processing system due to large access volume; data and dossier status between systems are not synchronized; documents uploaded by employees are not compatible; information on the unemployment insurance payment process has not been fully updated.
Notably, out of 787 dossiers that were rejected for processing on the unemployment insurance toolkit, 537 dossiers had technical errors, so they could not be appraised.
Nghe An Employment Service Center proposed that functional agencies soon complete the system, strengthen connection and data interconnection with the Social Insurance agency to shorten the time to process dossiers, create convenience for workers and limit workers from having to submit dossiers again.
