Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Duc Hung - Chairman of the Inspection Committee of Nghe An Provincial Federation of Labor said: In 2024, the Inspection Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor proactively advised on the development of inspection and supervision plans of the Standing Committee and the Inspection Committee for the term and each year.
Thanks to that, despite facing many difficulties due to the wide area of operation and the high proportion of grassroots unions not qualified to establish an Inspection Committee, the Inspection Committees at all levels have conducted 2,713 inspections of the implementation of the Charter and 811 supervisions.
Through inspection and supervision, it is found that trade unions at all levels have basically complied well with the provisions of the Vietnam Trade Union Charter and the Resolutions, Directives and Regulations of the trade union.
Regarding the work of developing union members and establishing grassroots unions, the whole province admitted 23,708 new union members, the number of developed union members increased by 18,330 compared to the beginning of the year, reaching 117.5% of the target assigned by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor in 2024.
Newly established 87/40 grassroots unions, reaching 217.5% of the 2024 target of the Provincial Federation of Labor. Establishing grassroots unions with more than 25 union members is 48/20, reaching 240% of the 2024 target of the Provincial Federation of Labor.
Units with a high cumulative increase in the number of union members compared to the beginning of the period are: Dong Nam Economic Zone Trade Union increased by 11,333 union members; Yen Thanh District Labor Federation increased by 1,307 union members; Quynh Luu increased by 1,264 union members; Dien Chau increased by 1,227 union members; Thanh Chuong increased by 1,078 union members; Con Cuong increased by 572 union members; Health Sector Trade Union increased by 777 union members.
After listening to the introductory report, delegates focused on discussing many enthusiastic and responsible opinions to improve the quality of the Inspection Committee and proposed solutions to develop union members and establish grassroots unions.
Speaking at the conference, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Nhi - Vice President of Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation requested the Organizing Committee and the Inspection Committee to accept solutions and recommendations to report to the Standing Committee, the Standing Committee and include them in the direction solutions.
Propose that the Inspection Committee enhance the role and responsibility of the Standing Committee of the Trade Union at all levels in leading and directing the work of inspecting trade unions, considering this a core issue in trade union activities. Overcome the situation of distorted perception, taking lightly or assigning the work of inspection to the Inspection Committee at the same level.
The year 2025 was chosen as the “Year of developing union members” with the theme “Focusing on developing union members; participating in building a clean and strong Party”. The Vietnam General Confederation of Labor assigned the target to the Nghe An Provincial Federation of Labor to develop an additional 25,000 union members.
To complete and exceed the assigned targets, the Vice President of Nghe An Provincial Federation of Labor requested that all levels of trade unions actively and proactively research and propose solutions with high political determination and synchronous implementation, aiming to complete the assigned targets and tasks.
