On September 9, Quang Tri Provincial General Hospital confirmed that it had just coordinated with the Red Cross Society to organize a voluntary blood donation program with the participation of a large number of officials and employees working at the hospital.
At the end of the program, the organizers received 71 units of blood, including 19 units of blood type A+, 27 units of blood type B+ and 25 units of blood type O+.
The blood received is screened and preserved according to regulations to serve emergency care, examination and treatment for patients.
According to Quang Tri Provincial General Hospital, the demand for blood in emergency and regular treatment is high, while the amount of blood reserves at times does not fully meet the demand.
Therefore, in addition to centralized blood donation programs, the hospital maintains a fixed blood donation point so that people in need can actively participate in blood donation.

Notably, many medical staff at the hospital also registered to participate in the "living blood bank", ready to donate blood in emergency cases, when patients need to be transfused blood in time to overcome critical condition.
The direct participation of civil servants and employees in blood donation not only contributes to supplementing blood sources for treatment but also spreads the spirit of sharing among medical staff.
Quang Tri Provincial General Hospital said it will continue to coordinate in organizing voluntary blood donation activities, mobilizing officials, staff and people to participate in order to supplement blood reserves to serve patients.
