According to the Nghi Son Economic Zone and Industrial Zones Trade Union of Thanh Hoa province (abbreviated as Nghi Son Trade Union), the unit is currently managing 114 grassroots trade unions, with more than 86,000 union members.
Over the years, Nghi Son Trade Union has done a good job of taking care of the lives, representing and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers. Up to now, 112/112 enterprises have successfully built and signed collective labor agreements, including many regulations and provisions that are more beneficial to workers.
In particular, in July 2024, the unit successfully negotiated and organized the signing of collective labor agreements for 7 shoe manufacturing enterprises in Nghi Son Economic Zone and Industrial Parks of Thanh Hoa province, with a total of nearly 65,000 workers benefiting.
During the period of 2018-2024, Nghi Son Trade Union at all levels visited and presented gifts to more than 40,000 union members and workers in difficult circumstances, suffering from work-related accidents and illnesses, with a total amount of more than 23.5 billion VND; presented 51 "Trade Union Shelters" with a total amount of more than 2.1 billion VND.
Building and implementing many new models such as: 3V model (For workers - For trade unions - For sustainable development of enterprises) at 3 units; book clubs with workers at 3 units; worker culture corners at 7 units; park company model at 3 units; pregnant women and young children's clubs at 3 units... The models create a spread in the activities of trade unions at all levels, contributing to innovation, improving the quality and efficiency of trade union activities.
With the above achievements, Nghi Son Trade Union has received Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Provincial People's Committee and the Thanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation. In particular, in 2024, the unit was honored to receive the Third Class Labor Medal from the President.
At the reception ceremony, Mr. Vo Manh Son - Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation awarded the Third Class Labor Medal of the President to Nghi Son Labor Union and awarded the Certificate of Merit of the Prime Minister to Mr. Ngo The Anh - Chairman of Nghi Son Economic Zone and Industrial Zones Labor Union of Thanh Hoa province.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Vo Manh Son - Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation congratulated and praised the results that Nghi Son Labor Union at all levels has achieved in the past time. Along with that, he hoped that in the coming time, the unit would continue to focus and innovate more strongly the operation methods, in order to improve the efficiency of the union's activities, towards union members, and take better care of workers.
