On the afternoon of February 26, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor (LDLD) held a conference to contribute comments on the draft Charter, Guidelines for the implementation of the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union, 13th tenure and regulations on the organization and operation of grassroots trade unions.
The conference was attended by Mr. Nguyen Duy Vu - Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Mr. Nguyen Minh Canh - Vice Chairman of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor; representatives of leaders of departments under the Provincial Federation of Labor; Federations of Labor of districts, towns, cities and grassroots unions in the area.
At the conference, delegates focused on studying and contributing many opinions to amend and supplement the draft Charter and Guidelines for the implementation of the 13th Vietnam Trade Union Charter to comply with the provisions of the revised Trade Union Law in 2024, as well as the arrangement and streamlining of the organizational apparatus in the spirit of Resolution No. 18 of the Central Executive Committee of the Party.
In particular, the contents related to the subjects joining the Vietnam Trade Union; the rights of union members; the conditions for establishing grassroots unions; specific regulations on the functions and tasks of trade unions at the grassroots level such as trade unions in the Party agency sector, provincial government sector... were discussed enthusiastically by delegates.
Delegates also commented on a number of contents regulating the organization and operation of grassroots trade unions such as: functions, tasks, and powers of grassroots trade unions; trade union financial revenue; support for allowances for grassroots trade union cadres; support for operating expenses of grassroots trade unions...
In the spirit of openness, frankness, and responsibility, the opinions of the delegates were listened to and acknowledged by representatives of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
Along with that, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor will synthesize the opinions of the delegates, send them to the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor for consideration and completion to soon issue documents and implement.
