Information from the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation on March 19th said that in the first quarter of 2026, Ho Chi Minh City trade union levels have proactively developed plans and implemented many synchronous solutions to expand trade union organizations in enterprises.
Propaganda and mobilization of workers to join trade union organizations are strengthened through many flexible forms, suitable to the characteristics of each type of enterprise. At the same time, promote surveying and grasping the situation of businesses and workers in industrial parks, export processing zones and non-state enterprises to promptly mobilize the establishment of trade union organizations.
In addition, work groups managing the area, trade unions of wards, communes and Con Dao special zone have strengthened coordination with local authorities, state management agencies on labor and Management Boards of export processing zones and industrial parks to approach businesses, propagate the role and functions of trade union organizations; guide procedures, support workers and businesses to establish grassroots trade unions when they meet the conditions according to regulations.
As a result, in the first quarter of 2026, Ho Chi Minh City trade union levels mobilized the development of 6,248 trade union members and newly established 99 grassroots trade unions, contributing to expanding the scope of activities of the trade union organization. Thereby, strengthening the gathering of workers into the organization, creating a foundation for continuing to develop union members and build a strong trade union organization in the coming time.
