According to the report, in 2024, the entire system will have 106 units with Collective Labor Agreements. The Vietnam Textile and Garment Trade Union has instructed grassroots unions to propose negotiations with employers to establish Collective Labor Agreements with provisions higher than the law on wages, bonuses, working hours, regimes for female workers, and ensuring occupational safety and hygiene. As a result, during the period, 14 more Collective Labor Agreements were signed, renewed, and re-signed, bringing the total number of Type B Collective Labor Agreements to 11.
The Vietnam Textile and Garment Trade Union negotiated and signed the 6th Collective Labor Agreement with the Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association.
Accordingly, a number of new contents higher than the law have been established, including: Raising the mid-shift meal allowance for each region to VND 2,000/meal; giving gifts to female workers on March 8 and October 20 at least VND 50,000 per day; supporting childcare for workers with children under 36 months old at least VND 50,000/month and expanding the scope of participation in the industry's collective labor agreement for enterprises not belonging to the Vietnam Textile and Garment Trade Union or the Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association to increase the coverage of the industry's collective labor agreement in the coming time.
In addition, the entire system has advised 16,650 workers on basic legal knowledge such as signing contracts, documents, procedures for receiving social insurance benefits for illness and maternity, etc. In particular, the industry level directly advised 24 workers on the settlement of benefits when stopping work or terminating labor contracts; organized 62 propaganda and dissemination sessions on the law combined with general propaganda sessions for 45,260 workers; advised and guided Nam Dinh Textile and Garment College; participated in resolving problems arising in labor relations, etc.
Speaking at the Conference, Mr. Phan Van Anh - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and Mr. Le Tien Truong - Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Vietnam Textile and Garment Group - both highly appreciated the efforts and results of the Vietnam Textile and Garment Trade Union, including implementing the Resolution of the 13th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union; organizing many practical activities to care for union members and workers; training and fostering the team of union officials.

Evaluating the performance of the Vietnam Textile and Garment Trade Union at all levels in 2024, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor awarded Emulation Flags to 7 collectives and Certificates of Merit to 4 collectives with outstanding achievements in the emulation movement for good workers and building a strong Trade Union organization in 2024.
Vietnam Textile and Garment Trade Union awarded the Comprehensive Emulation Flag to 32 grassroots Trade Unions and awarded Comprehensive Certificates of Merit to 60 collectives and 162 individuals.
