Attending the program in Luc Yen district were Mr. Tran Huy Tuan - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; leaders of the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission; leaders of a number of provincial departments, branches and sectors and representatives of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL) and a large number of union members and workers in the area.
In 2024, the trade unions at all levels of Yen Bai province have made many innovations in their activities, patriotic emulation movements and campaigns have been widely deployed, have had a pervasive effect, attracting a large number of union members and workers in the province to respond and participate enthusiastically, clearly demonstrating the role of representing, caring for, protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers, contributing to economic development, ensuring social security, and strengthening national defense and security in the province.
Along with that, activities to care for union members at all levels are focused on and directed by the Yen Bai Provincial Federation of Labor with many rich and outstanding contents and forms such as: "Tet sum vay, xuan chia chia" (Reunion Tet, Spring Sharing), "Thank you workers"; "Union meal"... contributing practically to caring for and supporting the material and spiritual life of workers and employees, leaving a good impression on cadres, party members, people and the whole society.
In particular, during storm No. 3, trade unions at all levels were proactive, active, and focused on doing a good job of calling for, mobilizing, receiving, and effectively allocating resources, promptly visiting, encouraging, and supporting 9,600 union members and workers with a total amount of 12.3 billion VND. At the same time, hundreds of tons of essential goods were distributed to union members, workers, and people in times of difficulty and disaster.
To prepare for the Lunar New Year 2025 with the goal of not letting union members and workers go without Tet, with funding from Yen Bai province and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, unions at all levels visited and gave gifts to over 5,000 workers.
The program "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan An Dang" is organized as one of many activities with profound humanity and practicality to take care of the material and spiritual life of union members and workers, especially during the traditional Tet holiday.
Immediately after the provincial Tet Sum vay, trade unions at all levels continued to carry out activities to care for, visit, and encourage workers, creating a widespread impact with the goal of all union members and workers having Tet.
On this occasion, the Provincial People's Committee and the Yen Bai Provincial Labor Federation awarded 31 collectives with outstanding achievements in caring for the lives and ensuring policies for workers in 2024 with an amount of 140 million VND.
