On the afternoon of January 10, Lao Cai Medical Trade Union informed that the unit held a conference to summarize trade union activities in 2024 and deploy key tasks in 2025.
In 2024, under the leadership of the Party Committee of the Department of Health, the direct guidance of the Lao Cai Provincial Labor Federation, with the enthusiastic and enthusiastic working spirit of the staff, the Health Sector Trade Union completed and exceeded 16/16 assigned plan targets.
During the implementation process, always associated with the specific tasks of the industry, there are many innovations in the content and methods of operation, actively caring for and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of workers, contributing to building a strong trade union organization.
In addition, the staff's life is gradually improved, and policies for employees such as social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance are fully implemented. Employees are fully equipped with labor protection and modern working equipment, contributing to improving the working environment.
However, in recent times, medical units have encountered many difficulties in implementing new financial autonomy; the impact of storm No. 3 has caused damage to many medical facilities and over 400 families of medical staff in terms of housing and property.
At the conference, the Health Sector Trade Union set out key tasks for 2025, focusing on implementing resolutions, programs, and projects to implement resolutions of trade union congresses at all levels, and innovating the organization and activities of the Vietnam Trade Union in the new situation.
Promote propaganda and political and ideological education for union members, cadres, employees, civil servants and workers; organize propaganda and participate in activities to celebrate major holidays and important events of the country; implement the Trade Union Law (amended) after it is passed by the National Assembly.
At the same time, actively research, propose and participate in the development of policies and laws related to workers' rights and promote inspection, supervision and protection of the legitimate rights and interests of union members, workers, civil servants and laborers.
In recognition of the efforts of union members as well as affiliated grassroots unions, the Health Sector Trade Union awarded the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor's commendation decision to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in union activities in 2024.
