The 2025 AVC Nations Cup for Asian Women will take place from June 7 to June 14 at the Dong Anh District Gymnasium (Hanoi).
The tournament brings together 11 teams competing, including host Vietnam, Australia, Kazakhstan, India, Indonesia, Iran, Hong Kong (China), Mongolia, New Zealand, the Philippines and Taiwan (China). The Vietnam women's volleyball team participates as the host team and defending champion of the tournament.
According to the draw results, the Vietnam women's volleyball team is in Group A with opponents Australia, Taiwan (China), Hong Kong (China) and India.
Meanwhile, Group B includes the women's volleyball teams of Kazakhstan, the Philippines, Iran, Indonesia, Mongolia and New Zealand.
Because the number of participants is 11 teams, the organizers are forced to change the format when divided into 2 groups. Each round of the circle is one point to identify the top two teams each in the semi -finals. The remaining teams will fight the class to determine the final order.
According to the schedule from the organizing committee, except for June 10, when the teams have a break, there will be 5 matches per day for the remaining days. The competitions start from 10:00 to 20:00 every day.
The Vietnam women's volleyball team will compete in the group stage at 8:00 p.m. Coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and his team will meet Hong Kong (China), (Taiwan (China), India and Australia in the group stage.
