U17 Vietnam will participate in the U17 Southeast Asian Championship 2026 final after defeating U17 Australia with a score of 2-1 in the semi-finals. This result helps coach Cristiano Roland's team extend their impressive streak and continue to maintain stability in their playing style.
Although starting unfavorably when letting the opponent open the score right from the 10th minute, U17 Vietnam still maintained team formation distance and did not fall into a passive position. Manh Cuong and Nguyen Luc were the ones who scored to help their team come back impressively.
U17 Vietnam's opponent in the final is U17 Malaysia. They easily defeated U17 Laos in the semi-finals with a score of 3-0, when the opponent lost a player quite early.
In the group stage, U17 Malaysia once lost 0-4 to U17 Vietnam. However, before the crucial match, Sy Bach and his teammates are not allowed to be subjective.
We still have a very important match ahead. The whole team needs to maintain high concentration and prepare best for the final.
Malaysia will enter the final with completely different form and mentality. Therefore, we need to prepare carefully and must not be subjective," coach Roland said.

The match between U17 Vietnam and U17 Malaysia will take place at 7:30 PM on April 24, broadcast live on TV360.
