On December 25, the People's Committee of Muong Bo commune held a ceremony to hand over resettlement houses to 11 households whose houses were damaged by storm No. 10 (BUALOI) in the Nam Mat resettlement area, Nam cum village.
Storm No. 10 caused severe damage to houses in the area, causing 11 households to collapse, completely washed away or damaged over 70%, forcing them to evacuate urgently.
After that, households were supported to build new houses to ensure safety, quality and suitability for long-term use needs.

11 houses in the Nam Mat resettlement area are built on a level 4 house scale, with an area of about 80m2, with a corrugated iron roof, meeting safety requirements against natural disasters.
During the implementation process, the Commune People's Committee regularly monitors and supervises the progress, promptly handles difficulties and problems to ensure the progress and quality of the project.
To date, 100% of the houses of the severely damaged households have been completed. Support work is carried out to the right subjects, at the right rates, publicly and transparently; support funds are managed and used for the right purposes.

According to the People's Committee of Muong Bo commune, the construction of resettlement houses for 11 households in Nam Mat area not only shows the attention and close direction of the Provincial Party Committee and the People's Committee of Lao Cai province, but also reflects the spirit of solidarity, responsibility and high determination of the Party Committee, government and people of Muong Bo commune, helping people soon stabilize their lives after natural disasters.
