On December 25, the government, the Front, and organizations of Thu Duc Ward (HCMC) organized the handover of the solidarity house to the family of Ms. Tran Thi Vien (Road 4, Quarter 45, Thu Duc Ward). This is a household in particularly difficult housing circumstances.
The house was repaired and upgraded on the old foundation, with an area of about 43.3 m2. The structure of 1 living room, 1 bedroom and kitchen, a ceiling, a tiled floor, water-painted walls...

It is known that Ms. Vien's family has 6 members, who are near-poor, old, working as laborers, collecting scrap metal; her daughter works for hire without a stable income to raise 4 grandchildren who are still in school. The old house has seriously degraded, the walls are cracked and peeling in many places, causing severe mold, leaky roofs... The family cannot afford to repair and upgrade the house themselves.
At the ceremony, Ms. Truong Thi Bich Hanh - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City and Mr. Mai Huu Quyet - Party Committee Secretary, Chairman of the People's Council of Thu Duc Ward sent words of encouragement and congratulations to the family, affirming the practical significance of the program to support house repair, demonstrating the spirit of solidarity and joining hands for the poor - leaving no one behind. At the same time, promptly share difficulties with the poor, help the poor strive to improve their lives, work enthusiastically to produce, and develop the economy.
Ms. Truong Thi Bich Hanh also awarded 2 scholarships to Ms. Vien's 2 grandchildren worth 3 million VND/scholarship. The Party Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thu Duc Ward, departments, unions of wards and neighborhoods also presented many gifts to the family.
On this occasion, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee - Mobilization, Management and Use of the Fund for the Poor in Thu Duc Ward also simultaneously organized the handover of 2 solidarity houses to Ms. Le Thi Bay's household (Road 10, Quarter 9) and Ms. Ngo Thi Kim Nhung's household (Kha Van Can Street, Quarter 38). These are near-poor households and disadvantaged households in the ward; the total cost of repairing 03 houses is 144,000,000 VND (each house worth 48,000,000 VND), drawn from the City Fund for the Poor.
