Speaking at the working session, Editor-in-Chief of Dai Doan Ket Newspaper Truong Thanh Trung expressed his pleasure to welcome Mr. Ly Xuong Can to visit and exchange views. According to the Editor-in-Chief, the meeting is not only meaningful in exchanging views on Vietnam-Korea relations, but also an opportunity to look back at the historical, cultural and root values that have been nurtured and connected the two nations through many generations.
Editor-in-Chief Truong Thanh Trung also highly appreciated Mr. Ly Xuong Can's contributions in promoting Vietnamese image, promoting cultural and tourism exchanges and strengthening understanding between the people of the two countries in his capacity as Vietnamese Tourism Ambassador to Korea. In that connection, the 800th anniversary of Prince Ly Long Tuong's arrival in Cao Ly is of special significance, not only associated with a character or a lineage but also a noteworthy part of the nation's historical flow.
Editor-in-Chief Truong Thanh Trung emphasized that Prince Ly Long Tuong's journey from Dai Viet to Cao Ly 800 years ago is a milestone of special significance, not only associated with a character or a lineage but also a part of Vietnamese history, valuable in recognizing the connections between Vietnam and Korea through many generations.
In the context of Vietnam - Korea relations increasingly developing deeply and expanding cooperation between the two countries in many fields, historical, cultural and human bridges are even more meaningful in fostering understanding, affection and social foundation for stable and long-term development of the two countries' relations.
Therefore, researching, clarifying and accurately and fully propagating about this milestone is of great significance in clarifying historical values and strengthening understanding between the people of the two countries. Dai Doan Ket Newspaper is ready to join agencies, organizations and researchers to contribute to clarifying historical values, spreading accurate information, thereby contributing to strengthening understanding and affection between the people of the two countries," Editor-in-Chief Truong Thanh Trung said.
After the process of deploying arrangement and consolidation of the organizational structure of the Vietnam Fatherland Front system, Dai Doan Ket Newspaper entered a new stage of development, with increasingly high requirements in performing information and propaganda tasks, contributing to consolidating and strengthening the great national unity bloc.
Along with the task of information and propaganda, over the past time, Dai Doan Ket Newspaper has organized and coordinated the organization of many events and seminars at home and abroad. Promoting that experience, Dai Doan Ket Newspaper will accompany the Organizing Committee in the process of preparing, organizing and disseminating information about the seminar, contributing to clarifying the historical values of the 800-year journey of Prince Ly Long Tuong to Cao Ly and spreading the meaning of the event.
Speaking at the working session, Mr. Ly Xuong Can, 31st descendant of King Ly Thai To, Member of the 11th Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Vietnam Tourism Ambassador to Korea, expressed his pleasure to visit and exchange with Dai Doan Ket Newspaper; and shared about the special exchange relationship between Vietnam and Korea that has been extended from historical milestones.
Mr. Ly Xuong Can said that Prince Ly Long Tuong's 800-year journey to Cao Ly is an important milestone, which needs to be studied, introduced and widely promoted.
The international scientific conference "800 years since Prince Ly Long Tuong came to Cao Ly and Vietnam - Korea relations in the new era" scheduled to be held in November will be an opportunity for researchers and experts to look back at this historical story in a scientific and complete way.
With a heart always towards his homeland and roots, Mr. Ly Xuong Can wished Dai Doan Ket Newspaper to pay attention, support and accompany him in the process of preparing the conference; and at the same time proposed strengthening connections with Vietnamese businesses. For his part, Mr. Ly Xuong Can will mobilize the participation and companionship of Korean businesses, thereby creating more resources for activities of historical, cultural and people-to-people exchange between the two countries.
Speaking at the working session, Mr. Nguyen Phu Binh, former Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Member of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, highly appreciated the role of Dai Doan Ket Newspaper in informing, propagating and connecting activities of political, social, and foreign policy significance.
According to Mr. Nguyen Phu Binh, in its role as the mouthpiece of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the companionship of Dai Doan Ket Newspaper will contribute to bringing information about the conference to the general public, thereby spreading the historical, cultural and meaningful values of the event.
Also according to Mr. Nguyen Phu Binh, the Organizing Committee is actively coordinating with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to complete the necessary procedures, towards organizing an international conference in November 2026. It is expected that there will be some side activities to strengthen Vietnam - Korea cultural exchange, thereby promoting cultural and tourism exchange and connecting the Vietnamese community abroad.
At the working session, delegates exchanged views on coordination methods, information and communication work, and resource mobilization for the workshop.
Editor-in-Chief Truong Thanh Trung said that through the exchanges at the meeting, many important contents have been suggested. This is the basis for the parties to continue to coordinate, exchange and agree on implementation methods in the coming time, contributing to the successful organization of the conference, clarifying the historical values and spreading the meaning of the event.
