Accompanying the delegation were comrades: Luong Quoc Doan, Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Chairman of the Central Vietnam Farmers' Union; Hoang Van Nghiem, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Son La province; Vu Anh Duc, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
The delegation visited and wished Tet to officers and soldiers of Chieng Son Border Guard Station (BDBP). Visited policy families and worked with Chieng Son commune authorities. At the same time, visited the model of Bon Bon agricultural service and tourism cooperative, Moc Chau ward.


At Chieng Son Border Guard Station, leaders of the Border Guard Command reported to the Minister on the work of protecting the border line, border markers and the situation in the border area. Accordingly, the unit is assigned to manage and protect more than 11km of border line; in charge of the area of 2 communes Chieng Son and Xuan Nha with more than 5,300 households of 7 ethnic groups living together.
Recently, the Border Guard Command coordinated to organize the "Border Spring, Warming People's Hearts" program in Xuan Nha commune, with a total gift value of over 900 million VND.
At the same time, implementing the program in Kho Hong village (Chieng Son commune), giving 400 gifts worth over 250 million VND to households and students. Along with that, the unit strictly maintains the combat readiness regime; ensuring security and order in the area before, during and after Tet.


Speaking at the meeting, Minister Tran Duc Thang highly appreciated the efforts of officers and soldiers in protecting sovereignty, maintaining security and order, and caring for the lives of people in border areas.
The Minister requested the unit to continue to raise vigilance; resolutely fight and prevent crime, especially drug and human trafficking. Strengthen bilateral patrol coordination with the Lao side's forces, maintaining stability in the border area.
At the same time, prepare good conditions to serve the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026–2031 term.

Next, the working delegation visited the family of Mrs. Do Thi Nghi (sub-zone 4, Chieng Son commune) - wife of a martyr.
The Minister cordially inquired and expressed deep gratitude for the sacrifices and contributions of policy families.
Working with the People's Committee of Chieng Son commune, the Minister noted that the locality has completed 29/29 targets for 2025. Essential infrastructure is gradually being upgraded. Agricultural production is transforming towards efficiency. The poverty rate has decreased significantly.
The Minister emphasized that economic development must be linked to social progress and fairness, not leaving anyone behind.

On this occasion, the working delegation presented 30 gifts to poor households, policy families and workers in difficult circumstances in Chieng Son and Long Sap communes; and at the same time donated 500 million VND to the Son La Provincial Fund for the Poor.
