Ninh Binh waterway police support relocating people from flooded areas

Ninh Binh - Riverine police mobilize forces and vehicles to support the relocation of people and property from flooded areas along the Day River.

On September 17, Ninh Binh Provincial Police informed that Riverine Police Team No. 2, Traffic Police Department has proactively mobilized maximum forces, vehicles, and equipment, coordinated flood prevention and control, organized the relocation of people and property out of dangerous areas, contributing to minimizing damage caused by floods and inundation.

Accordingly, due to the impact of weather, prolonged rain and floods, water levels on rivers in Ninh Binh province rose, and many households in communes and wards such as Phu Van, Chau Son, Phu Ly, Tan Thanh, Thanh Lam... were seriously affected.

In the area under the responsibility of Riverine Police Team No. 2, many flooded areas need to relocate people and property, estimated at about 1,800 households along the Day River route are affected.

Also on the morning of September 17, Ninh Binh Provincial Hydrometeorological Station issued an emergency flood bulletin on the Hoang Long and Day rivers.
