National Assembly delegate Do Van Chien - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) attended the meeting.
On behalf of the National Assembly Delegation, National Assembly Delegate Thai Van Thanh announced the results of the 9th Session of the 15th National Assembly and the activities of the National Assembly Delegation of Nghe An province to voters.
At the conference, voters in 6 wards contributed many enthusiastic opinions, reflecting on real life and hoping to be resolved by the National Assembly, the Government, relevant ministries and branches.
Regarding the issue of merging administrative units, the people have high consensus with the policy of merging provinces, removing district levels, merging communes and wards in the spirit of the Central Resolution. However, voters suggested that it is necessary to be cautious, scientific, objective, and have full consultation to avoid disruption. Some shortcomings were mentioned such as population growth and increased administrative records but the payroll did not increase, causing pressure on grassroots cadres, especially the "one-stop" department.
Voters proposed to have a specific policy to resolve redundant cadres after the merger, especially those who do not meet the conditions for rearrangement according to Decree 178/2024/ND-CP and Decree 67/2025/ND-CP. The arrangement of administrative headquarters after the merger at 2-3 locations causes difficulties in operation and inconvenience to people.
Regarding environmental issues, voters are concerned about pollution in industrial parks and craft villages. Request the province and relevant agencies to strengthen inspection and strictly handle facilities that cause pollution, while transparently publicizing the results of environmental impact assessment.
Voters raised many issues of concern related to education, private economic development, renovation of old apartment buildings, environmental pollution, security, order, traffic congestion, planning issues, land, suspended projects, etc.
Speaking at the meeting with voters, Mr. Do Van Chien - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front respectfully thanked voters for their frank, democratic, responsible and dedicated opinions.
