The Rural Youth Startup Project Competition is organized annually to encourage rural youth to promote the spirit of entrepreneurship and career establishment.

The Central Youth Union has just held the opening ceremony of the Final Round of the Rural Youth Startup Project 2026. The competition also contributes to building a modern and sustainable agricultural economy.

Promoting the entrepreneurial and career-building spirit of rural youth

From the competition, many feasible projects have been supported for implementation, forming new production models, applying technology to agriculture, creating jobs for young workers.

The contest not only sparks the entrepreneurial spirit among young people but also expands cooperation opportunities and effective connections between young people and the business community.

The contest was launched in March 2026, after nearly 1 month of launching, the contest received 315 project applications participating in the contest, from 33 provincial and city youth unions nationwide. After the preliminary round, the Preliminary Round Judging Panel selected 120 Projects for the Semi-final round.

From May to August 2026, the semi-final round of the competition was held in 3 regions: Northern region (Lao Cai), Central region (Nghe An) and Southern region (Lam Dong). After judging the semi-final round, the Judging Panel of the Competition unanimously selected 29 projects to participate in the Final Round of the competition.

In the Final Round of the Contest, 29 projects will present and project video clips about their Contested Projects and compete in the form of direct interviews with the Judging Panel.

The content of the projects revolves around fields such as: Agricultural development applying science and technology, promoting indigenous resources through cultivation, animal husbandry, aquaculture, forestry, salt industry, preservation industry, processing, craft villages, agricultural equipment; preserving national culture through developing industries, traditional products, exploiting community tourism; protecting the environment, applying science and technology in agricultural production and exploiting indigenous resources, green economic models, circular economy models.

Connecting cooperation opportunities between youth and the business community

Through the Contest, many youth startup projects are interested and supported by investors and businesses at home and abroad to gain a foothold in the market. Creating positive changes in the thinking and actions of the young generation and being a driving force to arouse the entrepreneurial spirit among young people, students, and entrepreneurs nationwide.

This year's contest, contestants brought many innovative startup ideas and models associated with agricultural economic development, digital transformation, environmental protection and local potential exploitation, showing the spirit of daring to think, daring to do and the aspiration to establish themselves and careers of rural Vietnamese youth in the new period.

Through the Contest, it aims to create opportunities for businesses in the agricultural sector to access and promptly grasp good, creative ideas and potential business models, thereby being able to invest, expand production, and diversify industries for businesses; it is an opportunity for businesses to find and attract high-quality human resources; create links and form value chains.

After the final round, the Organizing Committee will award 1 First Prize, 2 Second Prizes, 3 Third Prizes, and 03 Consolation Prizes.
