Implementing Guidance No. 21-HD/BTGDVTW dated May 28, 2026 of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission on thoroughly grasping, propagating, and implementing Directive No. 05-CT/TW dated March 30, 2026 of the Politburo on strengthening the Party's leadership over press and media in cyberspace in the new situation and Guidance No. 22-HD/BTGDVTW dated May 28, 2026 on thoroughly grasping, propagating, and implementing Directive No. 04-CT/TW dated March 17, 2026 of the Secretariat on strengthening the Party's leadership over publishing activities in the new situation, the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front and central mass organizations requests Party committees and affiliated press agencies to focus on implementing a number of the following contents:
1. Organize research and thoroughly grasp the contents of Directive No. 05-CT/TW of the Politburo and Directive No. 04-CT/TW of the Secretariat to cadres, party members, union members, association members, civil servants, public employees, and laborers; in order to raise awareness and responsibility of Party committees, Party organizations, and heads in leading and directing press, media, and publishing work; promote the role of press, media, and publishing in ideological work, propaganda, protection of the Party's ideological foundation and building Vietnamese culture in the new situation.
2. Based on the functions, tasks and actual situation of agencies and units, develop appropriate implementation plans; include the goals, tasks, and solutions of Directive No. 05-CT/TW and Directive No. 04-CT/TW in the annual work program; link the organization of implementation with the implementation of Resolution of the 14th Party Congress, Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation, Resolution No. 80-NQ/TW of the Politburo on cultural development of Vietnam and related resolutions, directives, and conclusions.
3. Promote information and propaganda work, widely disseminate the content of Directive No. 05-CT/TW and Directive No. 04-CT/TW on mass media, digital platforms and cyberspace; focus on propagating the viewpoints, goals, tasks, and key solutions of the two directives; reflect the results of implementation at agencies and units; discover and introduce good models and effective ways of doing things.
Subordinate press agencies proactively develop propaganda plans, open specialized pages, columns, news lines, and articles that are appropriate; strengthen the application of science, technology, digital transformation and artificial intelligence in press and media activities; and at the same time pay attention to propaganda on the development of reading culture, publishing activities, and publication publications; contributing to improving the effectiveness of information and propaganda work, protecting the ideological foundation of the Party, and fighting against wrong, hostile, and toxic information in cyberspace.
