KHÁNH AN |

Hoan Kiem ward youth participate in digital transformation and cultural and tourism promotion, becoming "digital tourism ambassadors", spreading cultural values to tourists.

On the afternoon of June 24, at the Forum "Vietnamese Youth pioneers in starting a business, establishing a career, and developing the country's economy" within the framework of the 13th National Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, term 2026 - 2031, Mr. Dang Thanh Tu - Secretary of the Hoan Kiem Ward Youth Union, Hanoi City shared some practical experiences in promoting the role of youth in participating in urban economic development, trade, services and sustainable tourism.

Secretary of the Hoan Kiem Ward Youth Union said that for special locations such as Hoan Kiem, economic development is not associated with agriculture or industry but focuses on the fields of trade, services, tourism, creative economy and digital economy. This also poses new requirements for the Youth Union organization in accompanying young people to take advantage of local advantages to establish themselves, start a career and create new values for the community.

According to Mr. Tu, the Hoan Kiem Ward Youth Union has oriented young people to effectively exploit the advantages of Hoan Kiem Lake pedestrian street space and streets to develop creative business models, cultural spaces, experiential tourism and night economy, gradually forming products and services imbued with local identity but operating in a modern direction.

In addition, Hoan Kiem youth actively participate in digital transformation and cultural and tourism promotion through heritage digitization models, QR code applications, virtual reality (VR/AR) technology, organizing digital content creation contests and AI applications in local image communication.

Through this, union members and youth become "digital tourism ambassadors", contributing to spreading cultural values to domestic and foreign tourists.

Hoan Kiem Ward Youth Union also focuses on building the image of civilized, dynamic, and integrated urban youth through volunteer teams with foreign language skills, communication skills and understanding of local culture to support tourists and spread civilized behavior culture in commercial, service and tourism activities.

From there, contributing to building the image of a modern, dynamic, hospitable, integrated young generation while still preserving the elegant values of Hanoians.

The coordination model between Youth Union organizations, professional associations and businesses is being implemented to connect jobs for union members and youth, especially new graduates in the fields of tourism, restaurants, hotels and services.

This model not only solves the problem of local employment but also contributes to transforming young intellectual resources into economic value to serve local development.

From local practice, the Secretary of the Hoan Kiem Ward Youth Union proposed to replicate the linkage model between the Youth Union organization, businesses and training institutions to build an ecosystem to support youth to start a sustainable career.

Along with that, build programs specifically for urban youth, focusing on creative economy, digital economy, night economy, trade, services and tourism; and at the same time promote the application of digital transformation, AI and new technologies in preserving and promoting cultural values associated with economic development.
