Positive signals from the beginning of the year
On the afternoon of March 25, at the press conference in March 2026, Mr. Nguyen Phi Da - Chief of Office of Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee - said that in the first quarter of 2026, the whole province has created jobs for 7,256 workers, reaching 14.5% of the annual target. Notably, 546 workers were sent to work abroad, reaching 24.8% of the plan, showing positive signs right from the beginning of the year. To date, the rate of trained workers has reached 74.2%, of which workers with diplomas and certificates account for 38.2%.

The above figures reflect the synchronous efforts of the locality in improving the quality of labor resources, while creating a foundation for workers to confidently participate in the domestic and foreign labor markets. In parallel, Dong Thap province continues to implement many support solutions such as vocational training, encouraging businesses to participate in vocational education, and strengthening links between training institutions and businesses. In particular, vocational training for rural workers is focused on, helping people change careers and adapt to market needs.
Along with that, the province promotes the collection and updating of labor market information; strengthens counseling, job introduction and propaganda on loan policies to solve employment. These solutions not only help workers access domestic job opportunities but also open the door to the international labor market.
Proactively looking for jobs for workers
A notable highlight is the proactiveness of the Dong Thap Employment Service Center - the key unit in training and connecting jobs for workers in the province, in connecting labor supply and demand. With the province's attention and creation of conditions, the unit has implemented many proactive activities to expand the path to find jobs for local workers.
In addition to continuing to maintain and develop new channels to send workers abroad to work, the Center also proactively expands training in industries and occupations that the market needs, such as: tax nghiệp vụ; Archives... The Center also directly comes to work and survey recruitment needs at many businesses.

Through working sessions, businesses have specifically shared about recruitment needs, working conditions as well as labor attraction policies such as salaries, bonuses, welfare, accommodation support, travel... This information is applied by the Center to digitize labor market data, creating an important basis for consulting and introducing suitable jobs for workers. In particular, this data source also effectively supports counseling for people who are receiving unemployment benefits. Thanks to that, many workers can soon return to the labor market, stabilize their income and lives. This is also a practical solution to improve the effectiveness of unemployment insurance policies, contributing to ensuring social security in the area.
