Ms. Tran Thi Tham - Vice Chairwoman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Yen Hoa commune - informed that the unit has just organized the handover of a house to Ms. Hoang Thi Dao (54 years old, residing in Bac Thanh village, Yen Hoa commune). Ms. Dao is a single woman, belonging to a policy household with difficult circumstances. Previously, she lived in an old house that was degraded and unsafe, especially during the rainy and storm season.
After conducting a field survey, the Fatherland Front Committee of Yen Hoa commune proposed and was supported by the "For the Poor" Fund of Ha Tinh province with 70 million VND to build a new house. Along with the support of brothers, relatives and neighbors in terms of both material and working days, after 4 months of construction, the house was completed with a total cost of nearly 350 million VND.
According to Ms. Tham, from social mobilization sources, Yen Hoa commune is currently implementing housing repairs for 3 other households, including 1 household that is a victim of Agent Orange and 2 households in particularly difficult circumstances.
Ms. Hoang Thi Dao shared that she is very excited and grateful for the concern and support of all levels and sectors, along with the help of brothers, relatives, and villagers to have a new spacious and solid house. "With a new house, I feel more secure to live happily and healthily" - Ms. Dao shared.
Like many other people with meritorious services in the area, Mr. and Mrs. Nguyen Sy Ty (84 years old, residing in Boc Nguyen village, Cam Due commune, Ha Tinh province) always receive attention and care from the Party, State and local authorities.
During the resistance war against the US, Mr. Ty participated in fighting through many fierce battles. In a battle in 1967, he was hit by a bullet and had to have his right arm amputated. His wife, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Bon (76 years old), was also injured by a bomb while participating in fire-line civilian labor in Quang Binh province (now Quang Tri province) in 1971. "Every Tet holiday, the War Invalids and Martyrs' Day, we are always cared for and receive gifts" - Mr. Nguyen Sy Ty shared.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Nien (91 years old, residing in Boc Nguyen village, Cam Due commune, Ha Tinh province), wife of a martyr, said that she always feels the concern and care of the Party, State and authorities at all levels for people with meritorious services to the revolution and policy families. In addition to monthly allowances, every Tet holiday and War Invalids and Martyrs' Day, she receives encouraging gifts.

According to data from the Department of People with Meritorious Services, Ha Tinh Department of Home Affairs, Ha Tinh is a locality with a fairly large number of people with meritorious services to the revolution, with over 303,379 subjects. The total cost of monthly allowances and regimes and policies for people with meritorious services in the province is about 2,100 billion VND per year.
Mr. Nguyen Van Sy - Head of the Department of People with Meritorious Services, Ha Tinh Department of Home Affairs - informed that along with the development of the country and the growth of the business community, the work of gratitude and repayment to people with meritorious services to the revolution is increasingly being concerned and implemented better.
Currently, some communes and wards in Ha Tinh continue to mobilize socialized sources and the "For the Poor" Fund to build and repair houses for households in difficult circumstances, policy families, and people with meritorious services to the revolution.
According to Mr. Sy, the implementation of the "Operation 500 days and nights to promote the search, repatriation and identification of martyrs' remains" is a practical and meaningful activity, showing the special concern of the Party and State for the search, repatriation and identification of martyrs' remains. Thereby, continuing to express the morality of "When drinking water, remember the source", the good tradition of "Gratitude" of the nation, and at the same time contributing to increasingly caring for the material and spiritual life of people with meritorious services to the revolution and policy families.
