On May 14, the 11th Ca Mau Provincial People's Council, term 2026 - 2031, held the 2nd session (specialized session) to consider and decide on many important contents related to the management and socio-economic development of the locality.
At the session, delegates voted to pass 35 resolutions in many fields. Among them, noteworthy are resolutions related to perfecting the legal system, replacing and adjusting old resolutions issued before July 1, 2025 or from the time of the old Ca Mau and Bac Lieu provinces. The review and synchronization of documents is considered an important preparation step to ensure compliance with the 2-level local government model.
Many resolutions directly related to people's lives, activities of officials, civil servants and businesses have also received great attention. Specifically, regulations on the level of allowance expenditure for people working in citizen reception, handling complaints and denunciations; expenditure to support initiative and creative activities; support for commune, hamlet, and residential level front officials to implement the campaign to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas.

In addition, the Provincial People's Council also approved resolutions on the list of land recovery projects in 2026; land price list applied for the first time from January 1, 2026; policies to support production and consumption linkages of agricultural products; minimum area conditions for permanent residence registration at leased and borrowed houses; programs to support businesses to improve productivity, product quality and legal support for small and medium-sized enterprises.
The session also approved the working regulations of the 11th Provincial People's Council and the supervision program for 2026. At the same time, the Provincial People's Council proceeded to elect 3 additional members of the Provincial People's Committee to consolidate the leadership apparatus and ensure management in the new term.
Speaking at the closing of the session, Chairman of Ca Mau Provincial People's Council Pham Van Thieu said that the resolutions passed are not only procedural but also policy decisions closely following reality, creating a "lever" to improve management efficiency and promote socio-economic growth.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Council requested the Provincial People's Committee and departments and branches to quickly concretize the resolutions with specific action programs, clearly assign responsibilities, and implementation roadmaps; focus on removing difficulties, improving the investment environment, effectively exploiting local potential, towards the goal of double-digit growth in the coming period.
