On January 28, in Ha Tay village, Nam Cua Viet commune, Trieu Van Border Guard Station (Quang Tri Border Guard) in coordination with the Nam Cua Viet Commune Women's Union organized the launch of the "Rotation Cow Breeding" model, supporting women members to develop the economy of the coastal border area.
The "Rotation Cow Breeding" model is implemented on the basis of a coordination plan between Trieu Van Border Guard Station and the Women's Union of Nam Cua Viet commune, aiming to create sustainable livelihoods for women members in difficult circumstances, contributing to poverty reduction and improving the material and spiritual life of people in coastal border areas.
According to the implementation method, households supported with breeding cows are responsible for caring for and nurturing according to instructions; when cows give birth to calves and raise them for the prescribed time, they will be handed over to continue supporting other households, ensuring the principle of "rotating - inheriting - developing".
At the ceremony, beneficiary households signed commitments to strictly implement the model content; local leaders and coordinating units directly handed over symbolic cow breeding signs to 2 households.
Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Vo Thi Ngoc Lan - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Nam Cua Viet commune acknowledged and highly appreciated the coordination of Trieu Van Border Guard Station and the Commune Women's Union in implementing economic development models associated with strengthening national defense and security.
Major Nguyen Van Sau - Political Commissar of Trieu Van Border Guard Station said that the unit will continue to accompany, guide, inspect and gradually replicate effective livelihood models, contributing to building a stable and sustainable coastal border area.
