Not only teaching literature, ethnic boarding schools in Lac Son district are playing an important role in disseminating and educating the law (PBGDPL) to ethnic minority students. In many flexible and creative forms, the law has been brought into schools in a close, natural and effective manner.
At Lac Son Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities and High School, legal education content is integrated into main subjects such as Civic Education, History, Literature... Lessons not only provide theoretical knowledge but also help students understand the rights and obligations of citizens, laws on traffic, marriage - family, prevention of school violence, child abuse...
In addition to teaching in class, the school organizes many extracurricular activities such as dramatization of the law, "Golden bell" contest, seminar, mock trial... These activities are not only lively and easy to remember but also arouse the excitement of learning the law among students.
Notably, schools combine legal education with practicing ethics and life skills. Many schools have built legal bookcases, legal bulletin boards, and propaganda corners, making it easy for students to access. Legal content is also integrated into classroom activities and Youth Union - Team activities to remind students how to behave properly in their daily lives.
Not only acquired, many students also proactively became those who spread legal knowledge. At Tu Do Secondary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities, the model "Youth Club with the Law" attracts dozens of members to participate in regular activities. Students were able to share and discuss practical situations, contributing to raising awareness of preventing child marriage, school violence, and child abuse.

Ms. Dinh Thi Thanh Tuoi - Principal of Lac Son Boarding Secondary and High School for Ethnic Minorities, said: Most of the students are children of ethnic minorities, living in disadvantaged areas. Therefore, the school focuses not only on teaching letters but also teaching students to be human, to live responsibly with themselves, their families and society.
According to Mr. Hoang Anh Tuan - Head of the Department of Education and Training of Lac Son district, up to now, 100% of ethnic minority schools in the area have implemented the integration of legal education into their curriculum and experiential activities. This is done synchronously with the coordination between schools, localities, police, judiciary and mass organizations.
Thanks to that, legal awareness among ethnic minority students has been significantly improved. Violations of rules, conflicts, fights or traffic violations in schools have decreased. They boldly discuss and speak out against wrongdoings, knowing how to protect themselves and their friends.
Legal education from school is a solid step to build a generation of young citizens who live and act according to the law. For ethnic minority students, it is even more meaningful when they will be the bridge to bring legal knowledge to the village, together with the community to build a civilized, progressive society and the rule of law from the grassroots.
