On the afternoon of June 25, the 13th National Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, term 2026 - 2031, held the fourth working session - closing ceremony.
At the fourth working session, the Congress listened to a summary report on the results of discussions at forums; on the review of the 12th Central Committee of the Youth Union; amended and supplemented Youth Union Charter; draft Resolution of the 13th National Youth Union Congress.
Presenting the closing speech of the Congress, Member of the Party Central Committee, First Secretary of the 13th Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Bui Quang Huy said that the 13th National Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union has identified the goal: Building a new generation of youth with revolutionary ideals; patriotism; bravery, ambition, good morality; deep knowledge, healthy physique and soul rich in Vietnamese cultural identity, becoming global citizens with Vietnamese soul, contributing to building and protecting the Fatherland.
Building a comprehensively strong Youth Union organization, truly a reliable reserve team of the Party, a revolutionary shock force and a socialist school for youth.
Promoting the spirit of dedication, the pioneering and proactive role of youth in socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security, international integration; developing science and technology, innovative startups, digital transformation...
To achieve those goals, the Congress determined that it is necessary to persistently strengthen propaganda and education of revolutionary ideals, patriotism, ethics, and cultural lifestyles for youth and children; promote the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style; and at the same time strongly innovate the content and methods of education of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union in a modern direction, applying digital technology and new communication platforms, contributing to raising political awareness, fostering aspirations for dedication, social responsibility and civic consciousness for youth.
According to Mr. Bui Quang Huy, a new point of orientation for this term is that the Congress has identified the deployment of the movement "Vietnamese youth pioneers in the new era", creating motivation to strongly arouse the pioneering spirit, creativity and aspiration to contribute of youth in many fields: pioneering the development of science and technology, innovation and digital transformation; pioneering startups, developing the country's economy; pioneering international integration; pioneering in volunteer activities for the community; pioneering in participating in protecting the Fatherland, ensuring widespreadness, orientation, sustainability, efficiency and creativity, taking youth as the center, as the subject of activities.
In addition, the Congress also identified the implementation of the program "Comprehensive Development of Vietnamese Youth" in learning, intellectual development; physical development and training; and improving spiritual and cultural life.
This is a new fundamental solution of the term, aimed at creating conditions for young people to study, train and develop comprehensively, contributing to forming a new generation of Vietnamese youth with bravery, knowledge, aspirations to contribute and international integration capacity.
The Congress also identified important tasks in the work of being in charge of the Ho Chi Minh Pioneer Youth Team and protecting, caring for, and educating teenagers and children.
In addition, the Congress identified 5 breakthrough tasks, 13 key targets, and 7 key projects.
With the spirit of "Resilience - Pioneering creativity - Aspiration to contribute - Mastering the future", in order to contribute to realizing the country's development goals to 2030, vision to 2045, the Congress calls on all levels of unions, all union members, and Vietnamese youth at home and abroad to clearly recognize their missions and responsibilities; strongly promote patriotism, aspiration for development, national pride, cultural values of Vietnamese people, and the enthusiasm of youth to urgently implement the contents approved by the Congress, creating a proactive attitude for a new term with new victories.
The new term is coming with many favorable opportunities, but also many challenges and difficulties. The entire Union needs to constantly innovate, be creative, and emulate to achieve many achievements, successfully implement the Resolution of the 13th National Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, contributing to the prosperous and happy development of the country" - Mr. Bui Quang Huy said.
