On January 6, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lam Dong province said that it had organized propaganda and dissemination about the 80th anniversary of the first General Election to elect the Vietnamese National Assembly (January 6, 1946 – January 6, 2026).
Nearly 300 officials and civil servants of the agency were deeply informed about the historical significance of the first General Election - a momentous event, a glorious milestone, marking an important step in the development of the Vietnamese democratic institution, opening a new period of development for the country.
The program also analyzes the achievements and lessons learned of the Vietnamese National Assembly over 80 years of formation and development; the role of the National Assembly and people's councils at all levels in the renovation process.
Promoting that spirit, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee deployed key tasks to serve the election of National Assembly deputies of the XVI term and people's council deputies at all levels for the 2026-2031 term, especially focusing on propaganda about the meaning and importance of the election after the arrangement of administrative units and the operation of the two-level government.
The unit also emphasized the role and responsibility of the Front at all levels and Front officials in negotiating, introducing candidates, mobilizing voters to participate and supervising elections.
Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lam Dong province Pham Trieu affirmed that the Front at all levels and the team of Front officials must firmly grasp the regulations, uphold responsibility, be close to the grassroots level, guide, participate and supervise promptly.
