On November 28, at the Hue City Cultural and Cinema Center, the 11th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Hue City, term 2025 - 2030, held its second session.
Mr. Tran Thang - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Central Trade Unions attended and directed the congress.
In the past term, under the leadership of the Party Committee, the coordination of the government and the consensus of the people, patriotic emulation movements and campaigns launched by the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Hue City and member organizations were widely deployed, attracting a large number of people to participate.
The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hue City has mobilized more than 692 billion VND to build 292 civil works, repair and build 3,174 Great Solidarity houses, supporting production capital for more than 9,000 households.
During the recent floods, Hue City suffered heavy losses in human lives and property. The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hue City has actively mobilized and received support sources from agencies, units, enterprises, organizations and people nationwide, and closely coordinated with forces to promptly help people.
To date, the Hue City Fatherland Front has received more than 150 billion VND and hundreds of thousands of tons of goods, contributing to supporting households with damaged houses and deeply flooded areas to soon stabilize their lives.
Promoting the people's mastery
With the theme "Enhancing the core political role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations, promoting the strength of national solidarity, contributing to building Hue City to develop in a green - smart - rich in identity"; with the motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Innovation - Development", the 11th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Hue City, term 2025 - 2030, has set out 6 action programs and 12 specific targets for the term.
Speaking at the Congress, Mr. Tran Thang - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Central organizations deeply sympathized with the Party Committee, government and people of the Central provinces, especially Hue City, for the damage caused by historic floods.
Mr. Tran Thang praised the outstanding results of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hue City in the past term, and suggested that the 2025 - 2030 term continue to closely follow the Party's policies, especially the resolutions of the Party Congresses at all levels.
Deputy Secretary of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Party Committee and Central Trade Unions Tran Thang suggested that the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hue City focus resources on activities towards the people; listen to, promptly reflect opinions, coordinate to thoroughly resolve legitimate recommendations. Social supervision and criticism work must be improved in the direction of clarification of work, responsibility, and effectiveness; correctly selecting content directly related to the legitimate rights and interests of the people.
The Vietnam Fatherland Front of Hue City continues to innovate the content and methods of operation according to the new model; promote the role of a coordination and unification center for action; at the same time, ensure that affiliated socio-political organizations operate synchronously but are still proactive and creative. It is necessary to train and foster cadres; promote the application of digital technology; promote the people's mastery through forums such as "People listen to people speak".
Mr. Tran Thang also noted that the important task at the beginning of the term is to participate in organizing the election of National Assembly deputies for the 16th term and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term in accordance with their functions, ensuring safety, savings and truly becoming a national holiday.
Regarding personnel, the consultation conference elected the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hue City, term XI, with 120 members. At the first conference, the 11th Party Committee appointed a Standing Committee of 10 people: Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee is Mr. Nguyen Chi Tai - Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee; Permanent Vice Chairman is Ms. Nguyen Thi Ai Van, Member of the City Party Committee. The Vice Chairmen include: Mr. Le Minh Nhan, Mr. Nguyen Chi Quang, Ms. Tran Thi Kim Loan, Mr. Le Ngoc Thanh, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hoai, Ms. Pham Thi Ai Nhi, Mr. Duong Dinh Luan, Mr. Nguyen Tien Nam.
The Congress also agreed to send a delegation to the National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the 2026 - 2031 term, including 12 official delegates and 2 absent delegates. The Resolution of the 11th National Assembly was unanimously approved, serving as a basis for the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of Hue City and the Fatherland Front of wards and communes to develop an annual action plan and implement it in the new term.
