Great Solidarity houses imbued with religious and non-religious love in Ninh Binh

NGUYỄN TRƯỜNG |

Ninh Binh - No distinction between religious and non-religious, hundreds of Great Solidarity houses for the poor have been built from the contributions of parishioners and Buddhists.

Solidarity between religious and non-religious people join hands to build new and repair houses to help the poor stabilize their lives and settle down; especially the "Warm Solidarity between religious and non-religious people" house model is a practical emulation movement, showing the harmony between religious (religious) and non-religious (religious) compatriots, tightening the national solidarity.

In Phat Diem commune (Ninh Binh), the locality has just organized a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction and repair of 16 houses (10 newly built houses, 6 repaired houses) mobilized and called for support by the government, philanthropists and religious organizations in the area.

Ms. Do Thi Hoi (81 years old, residing in hamlet 5A Luu Phuong) is one of the parishioners supported to build a new house. Ms. Hoi's family's level 4 house, about 30m2 wide, was built nearly 40 years ago, has now deteriorated and is dilapidated, but is currently the residence of 8 people in her family. Ms. Hoi herself is paralyzed and cannot walk.

Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh (Ms. Hoi's son) shared, "My family is in difficult circumstances. Both my husband and I are sick, all living expenses of the family depend on the meager amount of money earned by my son and his wife as workers, so even though the house has deteriorated, there is no money to repair it. When we received information that the family was supported with 100 million VND to build a new house, my whole family could not hide our joy and happiness.

For Mr. Pham Van Quang, born in 1957 (residing in Phat Diem Nam hamlet, Phat Diem commune, Ninh Binh province), his family's level 4 house was built in the 1980s, and is now seriously degraded. Mr. Quang himself has no wife or children, and every day he goes to buy scrap metal around the area to make a living.

The house has been degraded for many years, I have thought about repairing it or building a new house many times, but because I don't have money, I have to put it aside. Now being supported to build a new house, I am very happy" - Mr. Quang shared.

Priest Le Van Minh - Parish Parish Phat Diem said that the Parish currently has 5,000 parishioners, 11 congregations and 20 unions. In recent years, the Parish has always accompanied local authorities in social security activities, especially activities for the poor.

After receiving the call from the locality, the Parish stood up to call on parishioners to support the construction and repair of dozens of houses. In addition, we also regularly visit and encourage families in difficult circumstances" - Father Le Van Minh shared.

Mr. Le Van Kien - Secretary of the Party Committee of Phat Diem commune informed, "Phat Diem is an area with a large number of religious compatriots, so the building of the great unity of religious and non-religious people is always particularly concerned and focused on by the Party Committee and local authorities. Strengthening the connection between all classes of people, promoting the spirit of "respecting God, loving the country", living "good life, beautiful religion". Mobilizing the construction and repair of houses for poor households not only contributes to ensuring social security but also spreads and consolidates the spirit of solidarity in the area".
