On November 17 and 18, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Son La province held the 16th Congress of Delegates, term 2025-2030 with the participation of 300 delegates representing all classes of people, ethnic groups and religions in the area.
The Congress was attended by Ms. Tong Thi Phong, former Politburo member, former Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly; Ms. Ha Thi Nga, member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairwoman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; Mr. Hoang Van Nghiem, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Son La province.

The consistent theme is "Enhancing the core political role, promoting the strength of great national unity, implementing democracy, innovating the content and methods of operation associated with digital transformation; joining hands to build Son La province to develop green, fast and sustainably".
Over the past term, major campaigns and patriotic emulation movements have been widely and effectively implemented by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Son La province; especially social security work, caring for people's lives with impressive numbers.

Typically: The campaign "all people unite, build new rural areas, civilized urban areas", mobilizing over 250 billion VND from socialized sources, more than 3.5 million working days, along with tens of thousands of square meters of donated land to open roads, build welfare works; support the construction and repair of more than 9,300 houses to help the poor and near-poor realize their dreams of settling down and having a career...
Speaking at the Congress, Ms. Ha Thi Nga - Vice Chairwoman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front praised the outstanding achievements of the Son La Front in the past term.

Ms. Nga emphasized that the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels in the province need to continue to focus on operating the new organizational model well, both working and drawing experience; building a team of Front cadres with courage, capacity, dedication, creativity and daring to step out of the comfort zone to have new thinking, new ways of doing things and new results.
At the Congress, delegates discussed and approved important documents and elected 90 members to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Son La province, term XVI, 2025 - 2030.

Mr. Cha A Cua, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, was unanimously elected to hold the position of Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the 16th Province; 8 people held the position of Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the 16th Province.
The Congress unanimously elected the Son La Provincial Fatherland Front Delegation to attend the National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the 2026-2031 term, including 12 official delegates and 2 absent delegates.
Mr. Cha A Cua (H'Mong ethnic group) - born in 1974 in Long He commune, Son La province.
He was Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Secretary of the Song Ma District Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Provincial Agencies, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, National Assembly Delegate of the 15th tenure, Deputy Secretary of the Son La Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.
