On September 30, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF) of My Tu commune held the 1st Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the commune for the 2025-2030 term.

Over the past term, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune has made efforts and determined to overcome all difficulties and challenges, strengthen coordination with authorities at all levels and member organizations to successfully implement the goals and tasks in the Program for coordination and action agreed upon set forth by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Congress. The rate of households achieving the title of "Cultural Family" in residential areas is 95% or more; 100% of hamlets maintain the title of "Cultural Family".

Through many forms of propaganda, the commune's "For the Poor" Fund has mobilized 456,183,000 VND in cash. During the term, the Commune Front spent 149,300,000 VND to support poor households and poor people in difficult circumstances. Specifically, the commune has built 12 new Great Unity houses worth 480,000,000 VND; repaired 4 houses worth 26,000,000 VND; supported 46-time treatment with an amount of 23,400,000 VND; supported poor students to overcome difficulties to study well 75 times with an amount of 37,500,000 VND; visited and gave Tet gifts of 41,500,000 VND.
Following the Prime Minister's call for the whole country to join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, leaving no one behind, in the commune after the merger, 83 new houses were built with an amount of nearly 5 billion VND.

Speaking at the congress, Ms. Le Thi Suong Mai - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Member of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city, President of the Can Tho City Labor Federation - acknowledged and commended the dynamic and creative spirit and outstanding results of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of My Tu commune in the past term.
To successfully achieve the goals in the new term, Ms. Le Thi Suong Mai suggested that the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of My Tu commune should continue to consolidate, expand and promote the strength of the great national unity bloc, care for legitimate and legal interests and be closely attached to the people; promote democracy, strengthen supervision and social criticism; focus on building a strong, professional commune Fatherland Front with a team of prestigious and dedicated cadres, worthy of being the "common home" of the great national unity bloc....

The Congress agreed on 5 key tasks and 8 specific targets for the new term; and consulted to elect the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of My Tu commune for the 2025 - 2030 term, consisting of 60 members.
At the first meeting, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune jointly elected the Standing Committee and the positions of chairman and vice chairman. Mr. Ngo Thanh Phuc holds the position of Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of My Tu commune, term 2025 - 2030.
On this occasion, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City presented a symbolic board of giving 40 scholarships to poor students who have overcome difficulties to study well in My Tu commune. Of which, 10 prizes were awarded directly at the Congress, each worth 1 million VND.
