At the 1st Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Hai Phong City, term 2025-2030 held on November 26, Mr. Pham Van Lap, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city for the 2020-2025 term said: With the theme "Innovation of content and methods of operation, enhancing the core political role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the city; promoting the strength of national solidarity, joining hands to build Hai Phong to develop, civilize and modern", the 1st Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the city, term 2025 - 2030 is the first congress with a model of merging socio-political organizations under the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city.
The documents submitted to the Congress were seriously prepared, in line with the strong development requirements of the city and to absorb the maximum of comments and contributions.
According to the report at the Congress, from 2024 to now, the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Hai Phong City has operated smoothly according to the new model. In particular, promoting propaganda, mobilization, gathering people of all walks of life, enhancing social consensus, and promoting the strength of national unity is given special attention. The Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels has performed well its role as a bridge between the Party, government and people. Propaganda, mobilization, and gathering of people of all walks of life are focused on. Social supervision and criticism work has increased in both quantity and quality. Campaigns and patriotic emulation movements with many creative approaches and models spread widely, linked to practical life in the community.
Speaking at the Congress, Vice President - General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Nguyen Thi Thu Ha affirmed: The achieved results have demonstrated the great solidarity and operational efficiency of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in Hai Phong City and mass organizations at all levels in the recent past.
Regarding the direction and goals of the Hai Phong City Fatherland Front for the 2025-2030 term, Vice Chairwoman - General Secretary Nguyen Thi Thu Ha proposed that the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city in the new term concretize the Resolution of the Hai Phong City Party Congress and thoroughly grasp the directives of General Secretary To Lam at the Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Party Committee and Central organizations, consistently 3 guiding viewpoints and 6 key tasks. In which the core issue is to apply the three easy-to-understand, easy-to-remember, easy-to-do formula), three clear (clear goals, clear responsibilities, clear deadlines) and three measurements (input, output measurement, impact measurement).
Vice President - General Secretary Nguyen Thi Thu Ha suggested that the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Hai Phong City in the coming time carry out 3 main tasks. In particular, closely following the Resolution of Party Congresses at all levels, focusing on the core political role, gathering and uniting all classes of people, promoting patriotism, proactively participating in solving major problems of the city such as building advanced new rural areas, model new rural areas, building social housing, participating in comprehensive implementation of digital government, digital economy, digital society... contributing to achieving the goals of the City Party Committee: "The material and spiritual life of the people is improved, social security and comprehensive well-being", "leading in building a model of Socialism associated with socialist people".
Vice President - General Secretary Nguyen Thi Thu Ha suggested that the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the city thoroughly grasp the Party's policy and viewpoint of "people are the root", fully recognize and fulfill the noble mission of the Vietnam Fatherland Front as an organization representing the people, for the people, "The front is the people", "The strength of the Front is the strength of the people's heart". The activities of the Vietnam Fatherland Front must must be directed towards the people, "taking the people as the center, subject, goal and driving force of innovation" in accordance with the direction of General Secretary To Lam.
Mr. Le Tien Chau, Secretary of the Hai Phong City Party Committee affirmed: The 2026-2030 period marks an important turning point for the city when the conditions for a strong breakthrough have converged. This is also the time for the city to synchronously deploy strategic tasks to maintain its role as a growth zone in the North. To achieve those great goals, Hai Phong needs a solid foundation of social consensus, in which the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels plays a core role in connecting and promoting the strength of the people.
The Congress elected the first Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city, term 2025-2030 with 120 members. Mr. Pham Van Lap, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city for the 2020-2025 term was unanimously elected to hold the position of Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city for the 2025-2030 term.
The Congress also elected a delegation to attend the National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the 2026-2031 term, consisting of 28 delegates.
