The Congress was attended by 295 delegates representing more than 89,000 farmers' associations in the whole province.
The Congress announced the decisions to appoint personnel of the Central Standing Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union to participate in the Executive Committee (49 comrades), the Standing Committee (13 comrades), the Inspection Committee (5 comrades) of the Farmers' Union of Dien Bien province, term XI, 2025-2030.
Accordingly, Mr. Tran Quy Hung - Chairman of the Provincial Farmers' Association, term X, was appointed to continue to hold the position of Chairman of the Provincial Farmers' Association, term XI, 2025-2030.
12 official delegates of the Farmers' Association of Dien Bien province attended the Congress of the Vietnam Farmers' Association, term XI, 2026-2031.
Speaking at the Congress, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Dinh - Vice Chairman of the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union said: "Farmers' unions at all levels in the province need to continue to diversify propaganda work, arouse aspirations, promote the central and subjective role of farmers in agricultural development, rural economy, new rural construction...".
The Congress agreed on 19 specific targets in the groups of building associations and developing members; economy, digital transformation and social security; movement, environment and building new rural areas.
At the same time, identify 3 breakthrough tasks: Improving the qualifications and skills of association officials at all levels and members and farmers; strongly innovating methods of gathering and solidarity with farmers; actively participating in the development of the collective economy in agriculture.
