Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front receives delegation of the Russian Independent Trade Union Federation

On September 10, Mr. Cao Xuan Thao, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, cordially received the delegation of the Russian Federation of Independent Trade Unions (FNPR).

The delegation of the Russian Federation of Independent Trade Unions (FNPR) was headed by Mr. Sergey Ivanovich Chernogaev, Chairman of the Russian Federation of Independent Trade Unions.

Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Cao Xuan Thao expressed his pleasure at the visit to Vietnam of the delegation of the Russian Union of Independent Trade Unions, and emphasized that the delegation's visit to Vietnam this time coincided with the time when General Secretary and President To Lam had a very successful visit and working trip to the Russian Federation; continuing to affirm Vietnam's importance to the traditional friendly relations and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries, and at the same time creating more motivation to promote the Vietnam - Russian Federation Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

Vice President Cao Xuan Thao highly appreciated the visit of Chairman Sergey Ivanovich Chernogaev and the delegation of the Russian Federation of Independent Trade Unions; and congratulated the results of the talks between the Russian Federation of Independent Trade Unions and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

Vice Chairman Cao Xuan Thao said: The visit not only contributes to consolidating the relationship between the two Trade Union organizations but also creates an additional channel for direct connection between social organizations and people of the two countries.

We believe that the cooperative relationship between the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the Russian Union of Independent Trade Unions will continue to make positive contributions to strengthening the social and people's foundation of the Vietnam - Russian Federation Comprehensive Strategic Partnership" - Vice President Cao Xuan Thao emphasized.

On the side of the Russian Union of Independent Trade Unions, Chairman Sergey Ivanovich Chernogaev congratulated the success of the XI Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term 2026 - 2031; and wished the Vietnam Fatherland Front to achieve many results in the new term.

The Chairman of the Russian Union of Independent Trade Unions assessed that the fact that the Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor is a member of the Vietnam Fatherland Front leadership shows the important role of the Trade Union organization as a national representative of workers in the Front system.

According to Mr. Sergey Ivanovich Chernogaev, the topic of exchange between the two sides is of practical significance to the operation of FNPR. The operational efficiency of the Trade Union organization is not only reflected in the results of negotiations at each enterprise but also in the level of benefits of workers being considered in the process of building decisions and policies regulating working conditions nationwide.

Although the mechanisms and institutional forms in Vietnam and the Russian Federation have differences, according to the FNPR Chairman, the goals and tasks of Trade Union organizations have many similarities. This is the basis for the two sides to strengthen experience exchange and share appropriate ways of doing things.

From the practical experience of the Russian Federation, Mr. Sergey Ivanovich Chernogaev expressed his desire to learn more deeply about the authority of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in the field of social supervision and social appraisal; the order of organization of consulting work as well as the role of trade union organizations in these processes.

Exchanging views on the direction of cooperation in the coming time, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Cao Xuan Thao said that the Vietnam Fatherland Front wishes the Russian Independent Trade Union Federation to continue to promote its role and prestige in Russian society, contributing to promoting friendly relations between social organizations, unions and peoples of the two countries.

The two sides can strengthen information exchange and experience on mass mobilization and advocacy; protect the legitimate rights and interests of workers; promote dialogue, social justice, social security and sustainable development.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front also wishes the Russian Union of Independent Trade Unions to pay attention to supporting the connection of member organizations of the Vietnam Fatherland Front with relevant social organizations and people's organizations of the Russian Federation.

According to Mr. Cao Xuan Thao, activities can be implemented in many practical forms such as delegation exchanges, seminars, experience sharing, cultural exchanges, friendly activities between localities, professional organizations and people of the two countries.

One content emphasized by the Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front is to pay more attention to the young generation, helping young people and young workers of the two countries better understand the history of Vietnam - Russian Federation relations, thereby continuing the friendly feelings that have been painstakingly nurtured by many generations of leaders and people of the two countries.

The Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front affirmed that the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front supports the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the Russian Union of Independent Trade Unions to continue to consolidate and expand cooperative relations; encourage industry and local trade unions and training institutions of the two sides to strengthen connections and share experiences based on the needs and conditions of each side.
