On November 18, 1930 the Central Standing Committee of the Indochinese Communist Party issued a Directive to establish the Dongming Anti-Pocetic Association - the predecessor of the Vietnam Fatherland Front today. Through revolutionary periods with different forms of organization and names, the Vietnam Fatherland Front has continuously grown and made great contributions to the great victory of the nation, becoming a decisive factor in the victory of the Vietnamese revolution.
During his lifetime, beloved President Ho Chi Minh pointed out that the greatest strength of the Vietnamese revolution lies in the people and if the people are united, they will create a champion strength: "In the sky, nothing is more precious than the people, in the world, nothing is stronger than the people's united force". He also affirmed: "If it is easy a hundred times, people will accept it/ If it is difficult a thousand times, people will be fine".
On April 25, 2021, speaking at the 2nd Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, President Ho Chi Minh stated: "Our people are united, everyone clearly understands that we are the owners of the country and determined to fulfill our duties as owners, then we can overcome any difficulties and we will certainly win more and more greatly". At the end of his speech, the Man recalled the summary that he first gave 10 years (1991) at the Vietnam - Vietnam - Vietnam Front Reunification Congress: "Solidarity, unity, great unity/Success, success, great success"!
Previously, on the occasion of the Congress of the founding of the Vietnam Fatherland Front on September 10, 2015, President Ho Chi Minh affirmed: "History in recent years has clearly shown that the people's united forces are the champions. The Viet Minh Front helped the August Revolution succeed. The Vietnam-Vietnam United Front helped the resistance win. We can be assured that: With the efforts of each person and the support of the entire people, the Fatherland Front will fulfill its glorious mission of helping to build a peaceful, united, independent, democratic and prosperous Vietnam".
The role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and promoting the spirit of great national unity was emphasized by President Ho Chi Minh many times, in many meetings, demonstrating his deep concern for this work. Speaking at the training course on front work for cadres on January 8, 1962, Uncle Ho pointed out: "The Front policy is a very important policy. The work of the Front is a very important work in all the revolutionary work. Our cadres and Party members need to grasp and properly comply with the Resolution of the Party Congress and the Resolution of the Politburo on the issue of the Ethnic Front Unity. In the people's democratic national revolution as well as in the socialist revolution, the United National Front is still one of the great forces of the Vietnamese revolution".
Uncle Ho's teachings on great national unity are even more meaningful about the central position of the Fatherland Front in gathering and mobilizing all classes of people to create a force with invincible strength for the Vietnamese revolution to go from one victory to another.
Imbued with the viewpoints of Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh's ideology on the role of the masses in history, the Communist Party of Vietnam always identifies building the great national unity bloc as a strategic task in the national liberation revolution as well as the socialist revolution and in the current period of promoting industrialization, modernization of the country and international integration.
And over the past 95 years, the Vietnam Fatherland Front has continuously grown, affirming its role and mission in promoting the tradition and strength of great national unity, encouraging, motivating and motivating our people to enthusiastically participate in patriotic emulation movements, arousing and promoting resources and creativity, contributing to the successful implementation of the country's strategic tasks in each historical period.
