On June 25, information from the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Di Linh district said that the locality had just held an inauguration ceremony and handed over the "Love Shelter" house to a household in difficult circumstances.
Accordingly, the household of Ms. Bui Thi Van, at the 6th wedding, Tan Lam commune, was handed over the "Love Shelter" house with a usable area of 80m2, solidly built.
The reinforced concrete walls, ceramic tile floor, and corrugated iron roofs meet the "3 hard" standard according to new rural criteria.
Mr. Ho Sy Huy - Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Di Linh district - said that the total cost of building the house was 120 million VND. Of these, the Di Linh District Red Cross Society supported 50 million VND, the rest was contributed by the family.
"We mobilize cadres, members and people to participate in supporting and joining hands to help families in difficult circumstances build safe, spacious and clean houses," Mr. Ho Sy Huy shared.
Mr. Huy said that the house handed over this time is the result of coordination between the Red Cross Society and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and the government and organizations of Di Linh district.
This is an activity in response to the emulation movement to "eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses" in the period of 2024 - 2025. This emulation movement was launched by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh nationwide.
Ms. Bui Thi Van shared that her husband passed away early, so I have lived alone in a dilapidated, damaged temporary house but there are no conditions to rebuild it. This new, solid and spacious house is a great encouragement and motivation for me to overcome difficulties and stabilize my life.
Ms. Van also expressed her joy and gratitude to the government, the community and the villagers for supporting the cost, labor to build and complete the house.
"I am very assured to move into this new, sturdy house. From now on, my family does not have to worry about rain or wind every day, said Ms. Bui Thi Van.
As of June 10, Di Linh district has eliminated 367 temporary and dilapidated houses for poor and near-poor households.
Di Linh district is making efforts to complete the remaining 34 houses to complete the target before June 30, contributing to the entire Lam Dong province reaching the finish line 6 months early in the emulation movement "Eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses" for the period 2024 - 2025.
