According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, currently (November 9), a very strong storm is active in the sea east of the central Philippines, with the international name Fung-wong. At 7:00 a.m., the center of the storm was at about 14.3 degrees north latitude; 124.9 degrees east longitude. The strongest wind near the storm center is level 15, gusting over level 17. Moving west-northwest, speed about 30km/h.
It is forecasted that on the day and night of November 9, the eastern sea of the northern East Sea will have strong winds of level 6 - 7, then increase to level 8 - 10, near the storm center level 11 - 13, gust level 16, rough seas, waves 4 - 6m high, then increase to 6 - 8m, near the storm center 8 - 10m.
The eastern sea area of the central East Sea will have north to northwest winds of level 6 - 7, gusting to level 8 - 9, rough seas, waves 6 - 8m high.
In addition, on the day and night of November 9, the sea area east of the northern East Sea and the sea area northeast of the central East Sea will have showers and thunderstorms; from the night of November 9, the sea area east of the northern East Sea will have storms and rain. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes and strong gusts of wind.
On the day and night of November 10, the eastern sea area of the northern East Sea will have strong winds of level 8 - 10, the area near the storm's eye will have strong winds of level 11 - 13, gusts of level6; waves 8 - 10m high; the sea will be very rough.
The meteorological agency warns of the risk of natural disasters at sea at level 2, while the sea area east of the northern East Sea is level 3. All ships operating in the above areas are at high risk of being affected by strong winds and large waves.
