Da Nang continues to be affected by a widespread heat wave with a common temperature of 36-38 degrees Celsius, many places exceeding 38 degrees Celsius. The meteorological agency warns of the risk of fires, explosions, forest fires and affecting people's health due to harsh weather.
According to Da Nang Hydrometeorological Station, on July 21, most localities recorded hot and intense heat. The highest temperature is commonly from 37-39 degrees C, especially Tam Ky area reaching 39.8 degrees C. Air humidity is low, commonly 34-40%.
On July 22, hot weather continued to cover many communes and wards in the city. Hai Chau, Son Tra, Ngu Hanh Son, Cam Le, Hoa Khanh, Hoi An, Dien Ban and Dai Loc areas had the highest temperature of 36-38 degrees C, with some places above 38 degrees C. Tam Ky, Nui Thanh, Thang Binh areas commonly 37-39 degrees C.
In Hoa Tien, Hai Van, Thanh My, Dong Giang and Tay Giang, temperatures fluctuate between 35-37 degrees Celsius, with some places above 37 degrees Celsius. The areas of Que Son, Tien Phuoc, Kham Duc and Tra My commonly see 36-38 degrees Celsius.
From July 23, the intensity of hot sunshine tends to decrease. The highest temperature in many areas is still about 34-37 degrees Celsius, but the sunshine during the day still lasts from 10 to 16 hours.
The meteorological agency predicts that in the next 72-120 hours, the heat wave will continue to decrease and this heat wave is likely to end. The level of natural disaster risk due to heat waves is determined at level 1.
The meteorological sector recommends that prolonged hot weather combined with low humidity increases the risk of fires and explosions in residential areas, industrial parks and the risk of forest fires. People should limit working outdoors during hot weather, supplement enough water and take measures to prevent exhaustion, heatstroke, and heat shock to protect their health.
