The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting forecasts that from the evening of August 25 to August 26, the North and Thanh Hoa will have showers and scattered thunderstorms with rainfall of 15 - 35mm, locally heavy rain over 80mm.

In thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind. Disaster risk level due to tornadoes, lightning, hail is level 1.

Rainstorms accompanied by tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind can affect agricultural production, causing trees to fall, damage to houses, traffic works, and infrastructure. Localized heavy rains are likely to cause flash floods on small rivers and streams, landslides on slopes, and flooding in low-lying areas.

Regarding floods, in Lang Son, floods in rivers are falling below alarm level 1; especially the Trung River at Huu Lung is still above alarm level 3, forecast to continue to fall but still above alarm level 3.

In Bac Ninh, the Luc Nam River flood has been below alarm level 2, continuing to fall below alarm level 1. The Cau River has been below alarm level 3, forecast to fall to alarm level 2. The Thuong River is still above alarm level 3, forecast to continue to fall but still above alarm level 3.

In Thanh Hoa, the Buoi River flood is receding, currently above alarm level 2, forecast to continue to recede and maintain at alarm level 2.

In Ninh Binh, the Hoang Long River flood has receded, currently above alarm level 1, and is forecast to continue to recede below alarm level 1.

In Hanoi, the Cau River flood at Luong Phuc is currently above alarm level 3, and is trending downwards. Ca Lo River is below alarm level 3, forecast to recede but still above alarm level 2 tonight and tomorrow. Tich River is above alarm level 3, forecast to recede to alarm level 3. Bui River is slowly changing above alarm level 3, forecast to continue to maintain above alarm level 3 tonight.

In Nghe An, upstream floods are currently above alarm level 1, forecast to continue to rise but below alarm level 2, depending on reservoir regulation.
