Latest update from the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, at 4:00 p.m. on November 10, the center of the storm was located at about 18.7 degrees north latitude; 112.9 degrees east longitude, in the western sea area of the North East Sea, about 230km north-northeast of Hoang Sa archipelago.
The strongest wind near the storm center is level 12 (118 - 133km/h), gusting to level 14. Moving southwest, speed about 5km/h.
It is forecasted that in the next 24 hours, storm No. 7 will move southwest, at a speed of about 10 - 15 km/h and continue to weaken. At 4:00 p.m. on November 11, the center of the storm will be at about 16.6 degrees north latitude - 110.6 degrees east longitude in the sea west of Hoang Sa archipelago.
The strongest wind near the storm center is level 8, gusting to level 10.
It is forecasted that in the next 48 hours, storm No. 7 will move southwest, at a speed of about 15km/h and weaken into a low pressure area. At 4:00 p.m. on November 12, the center of the low pressure area will be at about 14.2 degrees north latitude - 108.7 degrees east longitude on the mainland of Quang Ngai - Binh Dinh.
The strongest wind near the center of the low pressure is below level 6.
At sea, the sea area west of the North East Sea (including the Hoang Sa archipelago) has strong winds of level 7 - 9, the area near the storm's center has winds of level 10 - 12, gusts of level 14, waves 3 - 5m high, the area near the center is 5 - 7m; the sea is very rough.
From the morning of November 11, the sea off the coast of Thua Thien Hue to Binh Dinh has gradually increased winds to level 6 - 7, gusts to level 9, waves 2 - 4m high; rough seas.
Ships operating in the above mentioned dangerous areas are likely to be affected by storms, whirlwinds, strong winds and large waves.
