Lam Dong - High waves have damaged many cages, causing more than 2,000 purple carp, crab and green lobster raised in Phu Quy Special Zone to be swept away.

On the afternoon of November 28, Mr. Le Hong Loi - Chairman of the People's Committee of Phu Quy Special Zone (Lam Dong province) said that due to the impact of storm No. 15, big waves damaged many aquaculture cages of local people.

Initial statistics show that 11 aquaculture households suffered damage, estimated at about 2 billion VND.

Many cages for purple carp, catfish and green lobsters were damaged by waves. The total number of lost aquatic products included 2,100 purple carp, crab, 100 green shrimp and about 5 quintals of bitter snails.

One household suffered the most damage with about 900 million VND when 12 farms were completely damaged, losing about 700 purple fish.
