Lam Dong - People and the tourism community of Phu Quy Special Zone contributed 500kg of fresh fish, surpassing large waves to the mainland to support people in flooded areas in Dak Lak.

On the morning of November 23, Phu Quy Tourism Association (Phu Quy Special Zone, Lam Dong Province) transferred 500kg of fresh fish to a high-speed boat bound for Phan Thiet to promptly support people in flooded areas in Dak Lak Province.

All the fish were voluntarily contributed by islanders and tourism workers on the island.

In recent days, the strong Northeast monsoon has caused big waves. This incident caused the Phan Thiet - Phu Quy high-speed trains to temporarily stop operating.

On the morning of November 23, when a ship resumed operation, Phu Quy Tourism Association immediately transferred these goods onto the ship to promptly provide relief.

Mr. Ngo Minh Pho, Head of Phu Quy Tourism Association, said that when the goods arrived on land, 250kg of fish would be processed by VietnamHome Mui Ne Restaurant into 1,000 meals and directly distributed to heavily flooded areas in Dak Lak.

The remaining 250kg of fish will be processed by the Vietnam Super chefs Association into sterilized box fish, and will continue to be transported to support people in flooded areas.

Despite many obstacles in the weather, the spirit of sharing of Phu Quy islanders still turned to the people in the flooded areas, contributing more motivation for Dak Lak people to soon overcome difficulties after the flood.
