Hanoi area

From March 5 to 7, Hanoi will have scattered rain, from March 6 the weather will turn cold.
Northern region
From March 1 to 4, the Northern region will have light rain in some places, fog and light fog scattered in the early morning, and sunny in the afternoon. In particular, the Northwest region of the North on 2 - 3 has hot weather in some places. Cold at night and early morning.
From March 5 to 7, the Northern region will have scattered rain. From March 6, the weather will turn cold, with some mountainous areas experiencing severe cold.
Water levels on the main rivers of the North will change slowly, in the downstream area of the Red River - Thai Binh is affected by tides and regulation of upstream hydropower.
Central region
The North Central region from March 2 to 4, the Central region will have light rain in some places, fog and scattered light fog in the early morning, sunny in the afternoon and evening. Cold at night and early morning. From March 5 to 7, the Central region will have scattered rain, from the night of March 6 the weather will turn cold.
The Central Central and South Central regions will have rain in some places and sunny days. From March 6 to 7, the area from Quang Binh to Khanh Hoa will have scattered rain and showers. On March 7, the area from Quang Binh to Hue will turn cold.
Water levels on main rivers in the Central region tend to change slowly.
Central Highlands and Southern region
From March 2 to 7, the Central Highlands and the South will have scattered showers and thunderstorms in the evening and at night, sunny days, and hot weather in some places.
During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.
Water levels on the main rivers of the Central Highlands will change slowly and be affected by the regulation of reservoirs.
Water levels on rivers in the Southern region will change slowly.
Assessment of the hydrological situation
From March 2 to 4, the wave height in the sea areas tends to decrease, the sea spectrum is below 2m in most sea areas.
From March 5 to 7, wave heights tend to increase again in all sea areas. The North East Sea area (including Hoang Sa archipelago) will have waves 3 - 5m high, the Central East Sea area will have waves 2 - 4m high. Gulf of Tonkin, Quang Tri to Quang Ngai waves are 2-3m high.
Regarding the high tide situation, from March 2 to 5, the high tide along the eastern coast of the Southern region will be high. The highest water level at Vung Tau station is forecast to reach 400 - 410cm.
Low-lying coastal areas, riverbanks, and areas outside the dykes in the Southeast are likely to be flooded in the morning, evening, and night. In addition, high tides increase the risk of saline intrusion in the coastal areas of the Southeast provinces.
