According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, currently (October 29), the north has a cold air mass moving south, which is about to affect our country.

Around the evening and night of October 30, cold air began to affect the Northeast region, then spread to the North Central, Northwest and Central Central regions. Northeast wind level 2 - 3, coastal areas level 3 - 4.

From October 30 to November 1, due to cold air combined with high-altitude easterly wind disturbances, the Northeast region will have scattered rain.

On the night of October 30 and October 31, the lowest temperature in the Northern region will be 20 - 23 degrees Celsius, in mountainous areas below 20 degrees Celsius. The average temperature will be 22 - 24 degrees Celsius, in mountainous areas below 22 degrees Celsius.

From the night of November 1, the North and North Central regions will have cold nights and mornings, and the mountainous areas will be cold. The lowest temperature is generally 19 - 22 degrees Celsius, in mountainous areas it is below 17 degrees Celsius.

The Hanoi area from October 30 to November 1 will have rain, from the night of November 1 and the morning it will be cold, the lowest temperature is 20 - 22 degrees Celsius. The weather will turn cold at night and in the morning, which can affect human health, especially the elderly and children.

Due to the influence of high-altitude easterly wind disturbances combined with increased cold air, the area from Thanh Hoa to North Quang Tri is likely to experience moderate rain, heavy rain, locally very heavy rain and thunderstorms.

The phenomenon of tornadoes, lightning, hail, and strong gusts of wind can cause damage to agricultural production, damage houses, traffic works, and infrastructure. Heavy rain is likely to cause flooding in low-lying areas, flash floods on small rivers and streams, landslides on steep slopes; heavy rain in a short period of time can cause local flooding in urban areas and industrial parks.

At sea, from the night of October 30, the Gulf of Tonkin will have strong northeast winds of level 5 - 6, gusting to level 7 - 8, rough seas, waves 1.5 - 2.5 m high. The northern area of the East Sea will have strong northeast winds of level 6, gusting to level 7 - 8, rough seas, waves 2 - 4 m high.

Strong winds and large waves at sea are likely to affect the operation of ships and maritime activities.
