Today, April 17, the Department of Forestry and Forest Protection (Ministry of Agriculture and Environment) issued a warning to more than 100 areas at high risk of forest fires.
Of which, there are up to 92 areas at risk of dangerous level 4 forest fires (level 4) in the following provinces/cities: Hai Phong, Vinh Phuc, Ha Giang, Cao Bang, Bac Kan, Lang Son, Tuyen Quang, Thai Nguyen, Bac Giang, Quang Ninh, Gia Lai, Binh Phuoc, Tay Ninh, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Long An, Dong Thap, An Giang, Tien Giang, Ben Tre, Kien Giang, Tra Vinh, Ca Mau.

35 areas at risk of extremely dangerous forest fires (level V) include: Bu Dop, Dong Phu and Phuoc Long (Binh Phuoc province); Tan Bien, Go Dau, Tay Ninh City, Tan Chau, Trang Bang, Ben Cau, Duong Minh Chau, Hoa Thanh (Tay Ninh Province); Nhon Trach, Long Thanh, Trang Bom, Bien Hoa, Long Khanh City (Dong Nai Province); Phu My, Chau Duc, Red Dat (Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province); An Bien, An Minh, U Minh Thuong, Rach Gia, Kien Hai, Kien Luong and Hon Dat (Kien Giang province); Nga Nam town, Chau Thanh and Long Phu (Soc Trang province); Tran Van Thoi, U Minh, Ngoc Hien, Nam Can and Thoi Binh (Ca Mau Province).
Forecasts of the Department of Forestry and Ranger are built based on the application of remote sensing technology and GIS developing the forecasting system, warning the risk of forest fires. The system issues a notice of danger levels that may occur fire in each local forest partition, associated with the map of the existing forest status, thereby warning the local risk of forest fires. The system is built on the basis based on the main factors for forecasts are temperature, humidity, rainfall.

Today, the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting also issued a warning of hot weather in the plains, midlands of the North, Central and Southeast regions.
On April 17, in the mountainous areas from Nghe An to Quang Ngai, there will be hot weather, some places will be very hot with the highest temperature commonly from 35-37 degrees Celsius, some places will be over 37 degrees Celsius; the lowest relatively humidity commonly from 45-50%.
On April 17-18, the Southeast region will have hot weather with the highest temperature commonly from 35-36 degrees Celsius, some places above 36 degrees Celsius; the lowest relatively humidity commonly from 50-55%.
On April 18, the area from Thanh Hoa to Phu Yen will have hot weather, some places will have severe heat with the highest temperature commonly from 35-37 degrees Celsius, some places above 37 degrees Celsius; the lowest relatively humidity commonly from 45-50%.
The plains and midlands of the North will have hot weather with the highest temperature commonly from 35-36 degrees Celsius, some places above 36 degrees Celsius; the lowest relatively humidity commonly 50-55%.
