The dispatch was sent to the People's Committees of coastal provinces and cities from Quang Ninh to Dak Lak; relevant ministries and branches.
The dispatch clearly stated: According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, at 1:00 p.m. on July 23, the center of the tropical depression (ATND) was at about 18.0 degrees North latitude; 119.7 degrees East longitude, in the eastern sea of the North East Sea, the strongest wind near the center of the tropical depression was level 6-7, gusting to level 9; it is forecasted that in the next 12 hours, the tropical depression will move in the West Southwest direction at a speed of about 10-15km/h and is likely to strengthen.
To proactively respond to the tropical depression, the Minister of Agriculture and Environment requested ministries, branches, and Chairmen of People's Committees of coastal provinces and cities from Quang Ninh to Dak Lak to:
Closely monitor the warning bulletin, forecast and developments of the tropical depression; notify the captain, owner of vehicles and ships operating at sea of the location, direction of movement and developments of the tropical depression to proactively avoid, escape or not move into the danger zone. Dangerous area in the next 12 hours: From 16.0-19.5 degrees North latitude, east of 116.5 degrees East longitude (dangerous area adjusted in forecast bulletins).
Prepare forces and means to deploy rescue work when situations arise.
Vietnam Television, Voice of Vietnam, Vietnam News Agency, the coastal information station system and mass media agencies from central to local levels increase information about the developments of tropical depressions to authorities at all levels, owners of vessels operating at sea and people to proactively prevent and respond.
Ministries and branches, according to their functions, state management tasks and assigned tasks, proactively direct and coordinate with localities to respond to the tropical depression.
The agency seriously and regularly reports to the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment (through the Department of Dyke Management and Natural Disaster Prevention and Control).
